Discovered moisture seeping through a couple of settling cracks in our basement wall that we thought were not ?active? when we moved in 2 years ago. Attempted to find a solution by calling multiple local contractors but they either acted as if they didn?t want the job, were ?too busy?, or too expensive. Being frustrated performed the research on my own and arrived at a plan. Decided to excavate the wall and back fill area myself but needed a professional to waterproof the wall and install a footer drain. Called Tri-State and they came out to examine the problem and arrived at the same solution. The job was separated into two visits. The first crew waterproofed the wall and installed a footer drain on exterior. A few weeks later a technician sealed the settling cracks from inside basement. We have had multiple rains since the job with no signs of moisture. We are so glad we found Tri-State Waterproofing. They actually charged less than the original quote and were very professional and punctual.
We have no reservations in hiring again or recommended them.

The work was done as promised. To this date, I have had no problems. The work is under lifetime warranty, which was a big seller for me.
My neighbor is not happy with how the work Tri-State did has impacted her yard drainage, even though her gutter drainpipe dumps onto my property. Tri-State and myself are not in the wrong on this issue - my neighbor has been using my yard for drainage for many years and now things have changed. The owner of Tri-State was kind enough to meet with my neighbor and I, to try to explain to her the flow of the drainage in my yard. She did not understand, and he even offered to run an underground pipe from her gutters out to her backyard, free of charge. She will not be made happy no matter what, but he did everything he could to help a situation that was my problem.

I think they did a good job. So far, so good. They give a good warranty on their work. The price seemed fair. They had to do a lot of work.

I was so impressed with Marty when he came to give me an estimate. He understood the situation (we had water leaking into out basement) and recognized the need to not only waterproof the outer wall of the house, but also divert the rainwater away from our house. We had the work done back in April. I have waited to do this review to see how well the work has held up. we have had one of the wettest springs and summers on record. Our basement is dry! My only criticism would be that I did have to call them and have them come back to complete the work as agreed. The work crew finished the work and my husband paid them. My husband did not realize they had not done everything as they should have. I contacted Tri-state and they did return and finish the work as agreed upon. One other minor complaint is that they did not do a good job of cleaning up after themselves. This may sound picky, but they left trash (water/soft drink bottles) lying around our yard.
Overall I am very pleased with their work.

We have had some dampness on the basement floor and seepage of standing water after a long hard rain near up-slope wall of basement for several years. The owner did not seem to want to oversell their services. Tri-State suggested installing an interior drain system rather than exterior foundation excavation and waterproofing. The job was estimated to take 3 days, but only took 1-1/2 days. The 2-man installation team and owner jack-hammered the floor to remove a 10-12 inch strip of concrete to create a 35 foot long shallow trench at the foundation wall. Noisy but not unexpected. They were hardworking and stuck with the job taking only 1-1/2 days versus the estimated 3 days. A separate contractor for electrical was sent on the 3rd day to wire the pump. Other than the dust created which migrate well beyond the immediate excavation area, they cleaned-up after the job quite well. The overall work was neatly done and there was no insistence that I pay the day the job was finished. The only complaint I have is the dust. While we were told there would be lots of dust, we were also told they would limit that dust with plastic sheeting. Not really, just covered a couple of tables and shelving units. Took the wife and I 2+ days to clean up the dust on everything in the basement. Cannot tell how well the system works, but after one hard rain, no dampness or standing water. The system is warranted to work and transferable to a new owner which is great since we are selling this house.

Virgil's crew was prompt, courteous, friendly and extremely efficient. If they said they were going to be here, there were here. The job turned out to be bigger and more trouble than we had anticipated. Even with that, quality work was done and done well. I cannot recommend this group enough. My basement is now water free for the first time in 30 years. Virgil will work on a project until he gets it perfect. One of his crew members told me, "He wakes up in the night worrying about his work. If he thinks he has not done something 100%, he will go back the next day and make it right."
