"A plumber you can trust finally! They told me what they needed to do and they did it for the estimate they said it was going to be. I called them 2 weeks later for a water leak and they came right out as soon as they were able to fit me in their schedule and everything is wonderful now."

"I contacted Mr. Franklin for what I thought was regular maintenance. I had never had the septic pumped before and was unsure where the tank was located as there were no visible indication of the piping. Mr. Franklin poked around but could not locate the piping so he contacted the County Health Department and obtained a copy of the blue print outlining the location of the septic tank. Turns out the line was inactive and the tank did not need to be pumped. After all the trouble Mr. Franklin went through between the drive out here, the hour he spent poking around trying to find the septic tank and waiting for the county to call back, he refused to accept any money from me. He would not even accept a trip charge. In a world were honesty just doesn't seem to exist anymore, it is so good to know that there are still trustworthy businesses out there! Mr. Franklin's knowledge of what to look for toppled with the time he took just to educate me is just priceless! I wish all businesses was like Franklin Septic!"

"Called Advance Plumbing Service in reference to my toilets not flushing and my tub not draining. I didn't expect anyone to be able to come out because it was about 7:30 PM. To my surprise Mike explained he could have a technician out within a half an hour. When the tech arrived I explained the problem and he immediately started looking for a sewer line cleanout access around my house. When an access could not be located, the technician explained he could dig up the line and install an access for any future issues that may arise. I liked the idea of having an access permanently installed, but as late as it was, I didn't want to do this at night. I asked what my options were and John, the tech, said he could pull the toilet and access the line that way for a price of $90.00. I really wanted the cleanout installed and asked how much it would be to have him come back the next morning to do that. He gave me a price of $350. I agreed to that and he called his shop to set the appointment up for me. John then explained he was going to pull the toilet and "run the line", as he put it, so I would have drainage. I asked what this charge for this would be and he said the $350 would cover it all. That night John pulled my toilet, cleared the line, reset my toilet and cleaned up so well that I could not tell he'd even been in my bathroom. He showed up the next morning right on schedule, dug up the drain line, installed the cleanout and again did such a good job of cleaning up, that I could hardly tell he'd even been digging in my yard. Both of the people from this company that I dealt with were extremely courteous and professional and I was very satisfied.

"

We initiated a service request and Jason responded immediately.  He put us on his schedule for 7/15/14, arrived at the appointed time and repaired our leaky shower faucet in the bedroom and installed  new toilet handles in two bathrooms.  He was professional, informative, and polite. He lets you know the depth of the problem and materials required for repairs. His work is EXCELLENT!  We will definitely use Jason Faircloth for future projects.

"Called almost immediately after I put the request in on HomeAdvisor. Showed up on time, gave me a very reasonable estimate and did a very professional install of a new toilet and sink/vanity. I will definitely be calling them back to install toilet and sink/vanity in my other bathroom. Great job."

Toilets questions, answered by experts

Many parts of your plumbing system can fail, but clogged drains are one of the biggest plumbing problems you’ll likely encounter. From your kitchen sink, bathroom sink, or bathtub, there are plenty of opportunities for gunk, hair, food scraps, and more to get stuck in drains. When this happens, water will slowly drain, leading to standing water, bad odors, drain flies, and other issues.

Many homeowners can handle a minor clog themselves, but if you have a clog in your main line, you’re best off hiring a local plumber to get the drain back to its normal flow rate.

Whether wall-mounted or floor-mounted toilets are better comes down to personal preference.

Overall, standard floor-mount toilets are less expensive to purchase and install, but they don’t offer the streamlined, modern appearance and adjustable height of wall-hung toilets. Ease of cleaning should also be considered, as wall-hung toilets are easier to clean than standard models.

While the toilet bowl and toilet tank require haul away to your curb, landfill, or recycling center, you can dispose of your old, used toilet seat in your regular garbage collection. If your toilet seat is plastic or duroplast, you can even recycle it instead at a local recycling facility.

On average, it costs between $150 and $300 to fix a toilet that’s leaking at the base, including supply charges. If the flange is intact, the cost is between $150 to $200. If the flange needs to be replaced, you can expect an extra $50 or so. The actual price will depend on the hourly rate your plumber charges.

The toilet flange anchors to the subfloor, usually with wood screws or cement screws, but most of it should sit above floor level at full height. When a flange is flush with the subfloor or below it, it can lead to the creation of leak paths.
