"I called TK Built with a problem. I had granite counter tops installed by Art Stone but they failed to secure the dishwasher. Tim came right over, came up with a game plan, and rebuilt the side of the cabinet where the dishwasher was. He also used wood trim to cover some unsightly gaps left from the new countertop. He is always ready, on time, works hard, and does it all with humor and great customer service. I will always call TK Built FIRST."

"Very professional and friendly, the work was supreme. He did a repair to torn carpet by a dog. You can only tell it was a patch due the color not being as worn. I would hire him for all carpet and flooring jobs."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Costs range from $5 to $15 per square foot for installation and $150 to $600 for repairs, depending on the material and complexity.

The tile trim you use will depend on a few factors, including design preferences, budget, and whether the project is DIY or not. You might choose plastic trim if you want an easier DIY job that is more budget-friendly. There are also more color options available in plastic. On the other hand, you might choose metal to match your fixtures or for areas with heavy use.

No, painting shower tile doesn’t last and is better reserved as a temporary solution to refreshing the look of old tiles. Shower tile paint may last around one to five years, depending on how well you prep the surface before painting, the type of paint you use, the type of tile in your shower, and how often you use the shower.

Natural stone tiles are durable, heat-resistant, and add timeless elegance to floors, walls, and countertops.

Glass tiles are among the most difficult to install. This is because their transparency makes the adhesive visible, and any imperfections on the opposite side are also likely to be visible. Glass tiles also must be handled carefully during installation, as they are prone to scratching. For these reasons, glass tiles often require professional installation to get the most out of their beauty and unique look.
