"Everything went great. Our project was a roof replacement. Paul was very professional & thorough explaining the process and material options, followup and answering any questions/concerns we had. We liked the quality of the product he offered. He was present during the actual installation. We highly recommend him."

"Walkers Landscaping went above and beyond on my tree and stump removal and leveling the soil. The service was a great value for the money! I mainly dealt with Shayne Walker who has a wealth of knowledge about landscaping and was great in customer service. He answered every question and made great suggestions. Shayne also returned every call in a timely manner. The team who removed the trees, stumps, did the clean up and leveled the yard were also professional and did a great job in a timely manner. I can't say enough about them!"

"We received a call for a review request from Angie's List on 6/23 and had to cut the call short. We think this abbreviated call may have left some questions unanswered and therefore reduced the overall score Hardscapes received - which wouldn't be fair at all! We have not regretted working w/ them one time and highly recommend the work and wanted to add an additional review to share that (because we find other reviews on Angie's List so helpful when we're making a service professional choice/decision!)."

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

The best time to buy a snow blower is typically around May to early June. This is when most manufacturers introduce new models, and quantities are limited—once early summer rolls around, the focus shifts to lawn mower production. As the new models are released, you may find a wider selection of models, potential discounts or clearance sales on older models, and greater availability, ensuring you are well-prepared for the upcoming winter season.

Costs depend on property size, snowfall frequency, and additional services like de-icing or hauling snow offsite.

The best way to save money on snow removal is to sign up for a seasonal contract that guarantees service throughout the entire winter. Most companies charge between $200 and $600 for this service, and they’ll often give you a break on the price if you extend annually. Of course, savings will depend on your area. If you live in a moderate climate where snowfall may or may not occur, you could pay more than you need during a light snow year. Still, it’s usually a safe bet to sign a seasonal contract.

Roof raking helps clear snowfall from your roof and, in turn, you hope that this prevents ice dams. But can roof raking actually cause them? Generally, no, it cannot. But you should note that while, in some cases, you might successfully prevent ice dams from forming near the edge of your roof by keeping it cleared with a roof rake, they could still form higher up on the roof, where you are unable to reach. This may leave you wondering: Does roof raking prevent ice dams? While it is not a 100% guaranteed way to prevent them, it does help.

Ice dam removal costs anywhere from $650 to $2,000, with most people paying about $1,200 for this service. The price you pay will depend on a few factors, including the removal method. If your pro uses salt or tablets to get rid of the ice dams, you might only pay $200 to $300. But if they use steam, your costs could increase to $800 to $1,200.
