"MadeWell Concrete was prompt in coming to give an estimate which was very reasonable for the extension of our driveway. When we determined that the gas line needed to be moved they quickly responded by rescheduling the work. They were reachable even on the weekend. Due to weather they were even able to move up the installation date. On the day they poured the concrete they arrived on time and got right to work and completed the job in the afternoon. The crew was knowledgeable and very competent. I would definitely call them first for any additional concrete work that I would have done."

"Had my 30 year old driveway replaced by Goodforms, and it looks stunning! The were timely, efficient, and very nice to work with (as a single lady, that is a big plus). Amazing work, and I'll be hiring them again when it comes time to replace my patio."

"Islas Masonry is awesome. We had a large section of driveway that was severely damaged from tree roots and needed to be replaced. I reached out to several contractors on Angie's List, and most could not even provide a quote for several weeks. Francisco responded within 30 minutes, came out the next day to quote, and was onsite a few days later to perform the work. We have a flowerbed along side the driveway and the crew was able to remove the old concrete, place formers and pour the new concrete without disturbing the flowers in the bed. Their price was very competitive with others, and they are fast, friendly and very professional. I would not hesitate to recommend them, and will use them again anytime I need concrete work."

Concrete Driveways questions, answered by experts

These parts of the house are okay to pressure wash:

  • Natural wood decking that is not stained or painted

  • Siding made of vinyl, aluminum, and cement

  • Concrete

  • Most children’s toys

  • Outdoor furniture

  • Trash cans and recycle bins

Does the water in your taps sometimes come out very slowly? If so, you might have problems with low water pressure in your house, and your pressure washer won’t effectively clean. To test if your water pressure is sufficient, time how long it takes for the water from your hose to fill a 5-gallon bucket. Usually, if it takes less than two minutes, you’re good to go.

Costs depend on surface material, level of grime, accessibility, labor, and required cleaning agents.

There’s no legal requirement that states that you need rebar in a concrete driveway, but since the slab will be supporting heavy vehicle loads, it’s always a good idea to pay a bit more for rebar reinforcement. Your driveway will be much more likely to crack if you don’t reinforce it with rebar. Driveways that need to support commercial vehicles or provide parking for multiple vehicles at once should always include rebar reinforcement. If you’re pouring concrete over asphalt or pouring concrete over an existing slab, you may not have enough depth for rebar, meaning an increased risk of cracking.

Not pressure washing your driveway can lead to several consequences that affect both its appearance and its structural integrity over time:

  • Reduced Curb Appeal: A dirty driveway covered in grime, stains, and mildew detracts from your home's overall appearance.

  • Safety Hazards: The buildup of algae, moss, and mildew creates slippery surfaces. When wet, it increases the risk of slips and falls for you, your family, and visitors.

  • Structural Damage: Dirt, debris, and organic growth can trap moisture against the driveway's surface. In colder climates, this moisture can freeze and thaw, leading to cracks and deterioration of the concrete or asphalt.
