"Our central air conditioning unit stopped working on a weekday afternoon and the indoor temperature quickly rose to 85 degrees. I called Ragsdale's emergency service after hours. A real person took my information and a service tech called me back within 20 minutes to say that he would be at my house that night. He showed up on time and was courteous and very professional. My unit is 18 years old and had not been cleaned in several years. The tech replaced the capacitor and fan motor, added coolant, cleaned the coils, checked pressure and performed several tests. Repair and clean up took about 90 minutes. He explained to me what he was doing on each step, told me the available repair options and their costs, and gave me pointers on how to spot a faulty unit. Our A/C now blows out colder air than prior to repair. I was very happy with the service and would definitely hire them again."

"Mikes flooring and wood work were good. But the painting was beyond dreadful. I ended up hiring Certa Pro painters to correct the myriad mistakes made by Mike’s Inexperienced painters. If you need flooring work, he’s your guy. Anything else - no. The painting work cost me an additional $1300, because his workers paid zero attention to detail. And it held up my renovation by more than a month. Ironically, as his workers repainted my kitchen ceiling, they didn’t place a drop cloth on the tile that they expertly laid, scratching it. I spent half a day in my knees scraping paint off of my floors."

"I'm a repeat customer and now have two experiences with the work 
done by AmeriServ; most notably scheduler Kirstie and technician Cody Conley.
This time out, I had an issue with two garage doors that were starting to emit sounds
similar to squealing pigs. I called AmeriServ, spoke with Kirstie who is a great listener and
great at documenting issues a customer expresses; I could tell she was typing in every detail
as I explained what was going on with my two garage doors.
I asked Kirstie to schedule an appt. specifically with Cody Conley because of how impressed I was with
the work he recently did for me at another location. He did not let me down. He was punctual, courteous, and
explained what was actually going on with my aged garage door hardware as well as giving me options on
repairs vs replacements. The pricing was fair, the work was done by an experienced professional
who worked quickly and I am satisfied with the warranty: service & labor 90 days, parts 5 years,
rollers- lifetime. 
I intend to call AmeriServ again in the next several weeks to get a cost estimate on the installation of an outdoor
ceiling fan as well as the cost to install a cable outlet in one room. Cody explained these two tasks are
outside his scope/area of expertise but felt confident in his referring his fellow AmeriServ technician "Justin"
so I can have peace of mind with another experienced AmeriServ technician going forward.
As a note and for the kind attention of AmeriServ's owner;
1- When I initially called, I specifically asked Kirstie for Cody but ended up getting a call from "Glen"
who was "on his way to my home" ... I let Glen know I was blindsided, had asked for Cody and hadn't been
told by Kirstie that that was an issue. I then called Kirstie back who corrected that mistake immediately.
2- It would be great if customers could get something separate in writing relative to the
warranty given when replacing rollers. The carbon copy of the AmeriServ receipt was faded & over a short time
will I expect become unreadable. 
3- Cody ran out of black rollers and had to use white ones towards the end of the job. So, I have both
black and white rollers... which I guess is okay cept' it is noticeable & I was surprised that a technician
sent out to replace rollers did not have an adequate inventory on his truck.
4- I was hoping the replacements & service to the doors would have made the sound much more quiet
when opening & closing the doors... I'm not complaining. It's just a comment... 
5- I understand that when you have an experienced technician quite often they're going to get cell phone calls
from other technicians not as adept however, it should raise some concern from the owner & the customer
when your senior techie is having to answer multiple calls and at the same time, perform "with two hands"
the more physical aspects associated with garage door servicing."

"Elec72I started with using "Richard the Handyman" for a request to replace 2  sets of french door and some other sheet rock work that I had in the
house.  He did an excellent job on the doors and sheet rock repairs. In fact, I used Richard for about 2 to 4 weeks straight to make repairs to a rental house. Between Richard's work and the landscaper, the leasing agent wanted to sell the house due to the fact that it looked too good to be marketed as a rental. Ultimately, It was rented. What I  can say about Richard that his word is good.  He charges you what he says, shows up when he is suppose too, and finishes the job or jobs before moving onto his next client.  I used Richard to do the following  and I thought all of his work was very good and some of it was pure excellent.  He did the following; 1) Replaced 2 sets of french doors. The doors did not fit right that I had ordered.  He worked around the problem and came up with a great solution, 2) replaced a 32" basement door, 3) repaired sheet rock in walls,  4) repaired 3 or 4 spots in stippled ceilings.  Out of the 4, only one was the repair obvious.  You could not see the repair on the other 3.  5) He leveled a tub for me and
repaired all damage to sheet rock and tile. 6) He painted the living room and ceiling.  His paint work is excellent.  7) He repaired appliances for me. 8) He installed a microwave, bathroom fan, security light, repaired a wiring issues, 9) installed 2 toilets and snaked the pipes for me. 10) He replaced a water heater and repaired an outdoor bid hose faucet.  11) he installed a sump pump in my crawlspace to deal with water problem.  12) He repaired carpet, cleaned carpet, and did a touch up job on the house to make it more appealing.  13) He pressure washed the exterior. Overall, Richard did a great job and will do about any job that you have.  He is honest and never deceived or took anything from me and kept his word through the 4 weeks.  When he could find a way to save me money, he did. What else is to be said."

"The furnace took 4 days to get approved( not counting a Sunday) the others were quick but the water heater had to be ordered so without hot water for a week. One ceiling fan was easy but within a year their policy changed and They would not install the one I purchased and had to get a new one approved and then ordered online and took several weeks to get straightened out. Not sure who was at fault, AHS, installer or scheduling with renter. Fee is usually $75 per visit"
