"Great experience. Chris is super professional and very responsive. He is very knowledgeable about his craft and his prices super reasonable. I am so glad I found this company and look forward to using their services for future lawn care projects. I used them to trim my shrubs and a trees and was so satisfied with the quality of work I received that I will be using them for larger lawn projects as well."

"RH was very professional from our very first communication to our last. He was very prompt when coming to the house to give the estimate. This is the first handyman that we had that actually showed up when he said he was going to show up. The swing set was the big project that we needed done. Our back yard is pretty sloped and Richard did the research and figured out the best way to give our teenage daughter a swing. We would definitely used Richard again."

"We received a call for a review request from Angie's List on 6/23 and had to cut the call short. We think this abbreviated call may have left some questions unanswered and therefore reduced the overall score Hardscapes received - which wouldn't be fair at all! We have not regretted working w/ them one time and highly recommend the work and wanted to add an additional review to share that (because we find other reviews on Angie's List so helpful when we're making a service professional choice/decision!)."

"Leonardo the owner came out promptly to measure and quote, was straightforward about the scope of the job and made suggestions to reduce the cost. A couple of days’ delay on the install timing but Leonardo was communicative and honest. When the installers came it took less time than expected, looks great and the quality seems very good. We’ll see in a year after some use, however I expect it will be just as solid then. No issues with our dogs being in the house. Once the crew got to work, they paid no mind to each other. Had another quote as well and Dreamworks’ pricing was lower. Personal service, good pricing and quality product."

"I got their name from Angie’s List last year to replace my roof. I used them again to do my gutters. They didn’t do any repair for the roof. My roof is brand new. I called him to do my gutters because he did an excellent job on the roof. They took the old gutters off and cleaned everything up. They are fantastic. The gutter guard had colors and the color that I got matched my roof perfectly. I was just really pleased. Their work was fantastic."

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

Ice dam removal is costly, but it’s absolutely worth it. If you leave an ice dam as is and don’t take care of it, you’re looking at potentially dangerous situations and high-cost repairs—like roof collapse, leaks, mold problems, gutter damage, and more. Removing ice dams is essential to keeping your home and your family safe in the snowy season.

In most cases, it’s worth it to pay for professional snow removal. You can shovel the snow yourself, but it’s very labor-intensive and puts you at risk of injury or illness by performing exhausting manual labor in slippery conditions. Paying a professional removes that risk and saves you time and energy. Depending on your agreement, you could wake up to a cleared driveway and a car that’s ready to drive rather than have to get up early to do the work yourself.

Yes, many providers offer emergency services during severe weather. Confirm availability with your contractor.

It’s possible to use a torch to melt ice on your garage door, but we don’t recommend it. It’s very easy to bring the flame too close to the door, which can melt the weather stripping or even the garage door itself. You’ll melt ice quickly with a torch, but the damage you’re likely to cause can end up costing you a few hundred dollars to fix, which isn’t worth it. Instead, we recommend pouring hot water over the frozen area or using a less intense heat source, like a hair dryer or space heater.

While DIY is possible for small areas, professional services provide fast, efficient removal for large properties or heavy snowfall.
