"Josh did an amazing job. He was very prompt and has wonderful customer service skills. You won’t be disappointed in his work. He removed pine straw, rocks and laid landscape matting. He outlined our flower beds with border brick."

"Great work! I had a nightmare of an overgrown yard and they cleared all the brush, took down vines, and even took out some small trees/bushes. All done in 2 days and the price was better than fair. Also prompt and courteous customer service. Highly recommend!"

"He was fine.  He threatened to not even come out or honor.  I had removed a deck.  Taken all the nails out of the boards and everything myself.  It took him a long time to come out.  Did he get the job done - yes.  Did he do a good job - yes.  In all fairness, he said someone else had bought the deal and sated they needed wood removed.  When he got into it, there was about 50 more pieces underneath as well as some buried in the mud, so it was a much harder job.  But I didn't hire him to try to defend myself and try to talk him into coming out and doing my job.  And I had to send him pictures of the wood I had and tell him that it was all loose, that there were no nails and I didn't have piles upon piles of it. He threatened to not honor the AL offer.  He did finally come out and do it.  But it took me a long time to get it done. His price was fine. Other than making me explain about the job. His quality was a "D" because of the responsiveness.  He was out of the country and then going back and forth with the job, it took me all of two months after contacting him to try to get it done.  So this whole time this was laying in my driveway.  When he finally agreed to come, he came within a couple of days.  I was not thrilled with him, but at the end of the day, it was cheap.  You get what you pay for.  In retrospect, I could've hired my garbage man to do it.  He would've charged me $50 and been done with it.  I would not use him again."

Garbage Removal questions, answered by experts

While unplugging your garbage disposal and plugging it back in may help, most units have an actual reset button, a bright red switch found on the underside of your unit. If your garbage disposal needs resetting, you may notice this button sticking out about a quarter of an inch from the surface of the unit, with which it’s usually flush. Simply depress this reset button to reset the unit, and then test to ensure it’s working about 10 minutes later.

Whether it's worth repairing your garbage disposal depends on its age and the specific problem. Generally, if the unit is eight years old or younger, repair is a good option. For minor issues like a bad seal or a simple jam, a repair can be inexpensive, sometimes under $10. However, if the motor is broken (a repair that can cost $150 or more) or the unit is getting old, it's often more cost-effective to replace the entire disposal.

If your garbage disposal powers up and you can hear it hum, but the arms inside aren’t moving, the problem might be a stubborn clog, a build-up of grease, or a jam of the impeller plate. To troubleshoot these, ensure your unit is off and disconnected from its power source before checking inside the drain or attempting to manually rotate the impeller arms or plate from the underside of the unit. A hex wrench can help.

The two main negatives of garbage disposals are they are a safety hazard in homes with children, and they frequently encounter blockage issues. While they might be annoying to fix and monitor, garbage disposals can significantly lower your trash use and are a great way to dispose of organic waste. While there are negatives, the vast majority of homeowners acknowledge the positives are enough to install a disposal in their home.

Once you have your garbage disposal disconnected, you can remove the mounting bracket by unscrewing the bolts that are holding the bracket. You can back them out just enough to pop off the snap ring, which prevents the bottom portion of the bracket from disconnecting from the top when you unscrew the bolts. Use a regular screwdriver to pop off the snap ring, and the rest of the components should fall off by themselves.
