Augusta was devastated by Hurricane Helene in Sept 2024. Trees were down everywhere, houses crushed, cars damaged. We had trees down at Goulds Corner condominiums and got bids from several tree and stump removal services. Katy was the most reasonably priced and they performed the work exactly as requested and as promised and did so very quickly. We are pleased with the results and recommend them highly.

They came with a crew and all the necessary equipment and knocked it out they gave me a good quote I accepted it and I ask when they could do it and they said in a hour and they did. Great job and I will use them again and recommend them to anyone…….!

We live in Warner Robins, GA, and our neighbor used Katy Tree Service for trimming their trees in their back yard, and recommended them to us. We contacted Juan Sierra with Katy Tree Service, and spoke with him about what we needed done and our concerns. We have a backyard that is not accessible by heavy equipment, has a large swimming pool, and extensive landscaping. We could not have ANY limbs or debris just falling into our yard without causing extensive damage to our landscaping or pool. We had one tree that was actually from a neighbor's yard that bowed severely into our yard with the crown of the tree sitting directly above our swimming pool. We needed all the limbs from the four large trees in our yard pruned off the tree to a height of thirty to forty feet, the bowed tree from our neighbor's yard cut off back to the fence line (which left only about a 20 foot trunk of the tree left), and all of the branches and overhang from our neighbor's trees pruned back to the fence line away from our pool. After surveying the job and appreciating our concerns with our landscaping and our pool, we were given an excellent quote for the work, and two days later Katy Tree Service showed up to get the job done. They were astonishing skilled at the work they performed, knowing just how to tie off each branch and carefully lowering each giant branch cut off the trees to the ground without disturbing our landscape in the least. The crew they brought was extensive and highly efficient, and they had completed the job in no time at all without harming a singe plant in our yard. Their cleanup was immaculate, and they left our backyard looking better than when they arrived. The cost was an outstanding value for the work they performed, and we can't recommend them highly enough! Thanks guys for an outstanding job!

Nov 2023. Owner Juan was very polite. His crew was very efficient and worked very hard until the job was completed (they earned my immediate respect). Juan followed my directions for his heavy equipment in the grass and yard with no issues. Overall, outstanding job and I will hire them again for future tree removal, trimming and stump removal.

On February 2, Katy Tree Service knocked on our door in Austin offering to clear away the devastation we experienced from the ice storm on Feb 1, 2023. We had 7 downed trees and huge limbs in all directions. Our neighborhood looked like a war zone. They looked like the cavalry to us. They had numerous large trucks with all the necessary equipment to do large jobs. We were overwhelmed by the debris all around our home so we hired them on the spot. Although I am still grateful that they were able to clear out the downed trees and they did a good job of grinding the stumps. They did leave quite a lot of incomplete cuts where part of the limb/bark was torn leaving the trees susceptible to future problems, but there was still ice on limbs so I was just relieved at that point to have the big stuff done. They said they would come back for the rough cuts and damage. THIS IS WHERE THE PROBLEM BEGINS. THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. They have repeatedly made empty promises. They destroyed a large stretch of metal edging and sprinkler heads with the stump grinder. We were assured that they would return to replace the edging and repair damage as well as clean up the numerous incomplete cut; cuts that went halfway through the limbs leaving a torn limb and stripped bark. . They repeatedly said they would return but never did. They gave me dates and told me that without fail, for sure they would come on such and such day so I would reorganize my schedule and wait around on the appointed day, but they never returned and did not even bother to call. Each time I called, either Rigo, Juan would promise that they would not let me down and they absolutely had every intention of completing the work. I was assured they would come after a big job in Rollingwood was complete but again I was just being led on. . I occasionally saw their trucks nearby so I knew they were still working in the area but when I called all i received was unfulfilled promises. I am a realtor so I referred them to friends and clients in those first days after the storm. I regret that now. I never write reviews but this was a very expensive and disappointing lesson and I hope it will be helpful to others.

Had a tree removed with stump grinding which was done well other than many small branches being left all over my yard for me to clean up. Unrelated to the tree removal, the employee who came onsite offered several other services such as planting a replacement tree and other small landscaping additions. We talked about my preferences, and he said they would get back to me with some options. However, once the tree removal was completed I never heard back about the other services. When I contacted them, the response was less than helpful so I decided not to proceed.

Friendly, fast, quick response. Good work and cleanup. Trees trimmed, debris removed. Glad I selected these folks!
