"This was partially my mistake, but I ended up paying for a garbage disposal I did not need. Not until the new disposal was installed did the installer test to find out that the problem was not with the disposal itself, but with the wall switch to turn it on. So I spent $299 for a new disposal that I didn't need. It was my mistake, I guess, because I didn't realize that it could be something else and I prepaid for the new disposal. But learn from my mistake...before you pay for something, you should really check and confirm the cause of the problem. Don't assume that the company you hire will do that automatically. I assumed they would clue me in to what else the problem could be or at least ask what the problem was before installing this. Live and learn... Would I hire them again? Yes, but only knowing that I can't assume that they will do the diagnosis prior to repair or replace. Also, when they called to confirm the appointment, the man who called told me there would be an additional dispatch fee...when i told him that the service was portrayed as all inclusive on Angie's List, and to talk to the owner...he came back and told me they would wave the fee. So again, the customer must really be on his/her toes and object to hidden fees."

"Overall, it was a good experience. AAA put down a vapor barrier and installed a Santa Fe dehumidifier with sump pump. The result is that we can now use the stand-up basement/crawlspace to store things under the house without ruining them. This is the part that you need to know. The installation was not without problems. First, they broke an A/C drain pipe, second, they cut a sprinkler controller wire while running a PVC pipe. Here's my take, accidents happen but how does the business respond to these issues? Well, Donna was very quick to send her team out to correct the problems and they even paid for the damage to the sprinkler system. To me, that's top notch customer service. Any business can make a mistake, but how they handle it is the mark of a good company. Every time I lift the roll door and go into the basement now, I'm amazed at how cool and fresh the air is down there. No more mildew and no more smell."

"Eddie came out and gave an estimate. He was professional and personable and set a date and time for the following week to do the job. Due to other (larger) work obligations, Eddie wasn't able to keep the appointment. However, he sent his son, who was just as professional and personable! The job was completed without any issues. I was impressed (and grateful) that Eddie didn't put me on the back burner and reschedule because it was such a small job. This malady in my floor was preventing me from installing hardwood flooring so I am very happy it is done!

"Communication on the front end was a little tricky - I would call him rather than use Angie's List to write to him. Overall we were exceptionally pleased. Great guy. Has a helper for 2-man work. Cost to do everything (including running around for components) was less than we were quoted for a basketball installation crew to show up and do the install after we did all the running around to get things ready for them. My son says the hoop is more sturdy than it ever was before."

"The job was more extensive than originally anticipated. Travis with MainLine Remodel kept me in the loop the whole time and explained recommendations and followed up with pictures. Travis and MainLine Remodel went above and beyond. I live out of town and rent the property. It was very reassuring to have someone there I can trust to do a quality job and to identify areas of concern. Travis identified an improperly installed window that was leaking. He and his team corrected the issue. The incorrectly installed window/leak was not identified by property managers hired to manage the property in the past. "AHS is ok. They cover repairs of most everything under the roof of your house. The companies that contract with them are not always the best. You call AHS with the issue, they send a fax to the repair company and give you the contact info. If they don't contact you within 24 hours, you call them. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't. When they arrive (usually three days or so later), they service the item. if it has issues within the 90 days, you call AHS again, they are sent out with no charge. If the serviceman decides the unit is unrepairable, AHS will allow you to choose a replacement from their listing (usually not as good as what you have) they will install and remove your old item, or give you wholesale amount to buy and install your own. Prices vary on what you want covered and what you want the copay to be, plus where you live. For me it is 49.99 per month with a 75.00 time of service order. You can have more than one item serviced at the same time under the same fee. If you have a SEAR product the repair guys are great. Not that wild about the other ones they send out. But it is a big savings compared to calling someone on your own. The cost of service is only the 75.00 copay."
