I can't say enough good things about this business. I knew I was overdue for a new heat pump as mine was 20 years old and summer is here. And then my thermostat died. They were out quickly the same day and replaced it. I was pleased with the care taken to check things out and make sure I would be comfortable. I decided then and there to have a new system installed, they took all the measurements and had a very fair quote for me the next day. Now the new unit is in and I must commend the two men for the work done, clean up, friendliness and knowledge, patiently answering all my questions. I can highly recommend them if you need any type of HVAC services do

It was a three day job; crews were very professional. Clean up was excellent. Follow up visits (2) were immediate. Minor system adjustments made in follow up. Extremely well done. Dollar value extremely high for their services.

First of all, We had communicated with five or six companies obtaining recommendations and quotes. Few were really friendly or responded in a timely manner.
Working with Mooneyham went unbelievably well. We had numerous discussions regarding different systems, pricing, total benefits, current trade-in allowances, and potential Gulf Power rebates. Gary, his staff, and his crew bent over backwards to ensure we understood everything.
In our absence, they performed testing and determined we qualified for the Gulf Power system upgrade rebate.
We also qualified for a Trane trade-in rebate.
Installation Day - The Technicians arrived as scheduled and dug right in. Extremely friendly, polite group of guys we'd welcome into our home anytime. They completed installation after we left for an emergency. We arrived back home to a fully functioning system, a clean home with no evidence of their presence, and a note saying the internet capable thermostat they had installed was malfunctioning; therefore, they replaced it with a standard thermostat ensuring we would remain comfortable, and stated they would return with a replacement internet capable thermostat the next day when it arrived. They did return, as promised, and installed the replacement thermostat.
Mooneyham handled the rebates and we simply paid them.
We cannot recommend anyone more than Mooneyham. They will definitely be the folks we call for help in the future.

After several attempts, they were able to make a special accommodation to help. Already have a maintenance contract....but, do to the heat was willing to go elsewhere. Glad they responded.

I would recommend this company to anyone. Gary Mooneyham did a complete exam of our current usage and future needs due to our other renovations to calculate the right unit for us. He answered tons of questions and spent a great deal of time educating us on what we needed and why. The craftsmanship of their work installing the Trane 5 ton unit was beautiful. The men were professional and did clean work. I can not say enough good things about this company.

Well - no problems.

The experience was excellent; they are top-notch. I have been using them for 20 years and like them a lot. They are reliable. Since I am a member, I have preventive maintenance done twice yearly. Because I do that, if I call with a problem on a weekend they definitely will show up and they don't charge me a weekend rate; just the regular rate. I think that is a very good situation for most people. I think their prices are very good; compared to others that I have heard of they are actually cheaper. I would say they are less expensive than the average. The quality of their work is excellent. They had to replace my air conditioner after 16 years and they were extremely efficient and not disruptive, hardly, in any way. They did the work in one-half day, which is amazing. They have always been responsive to anything that has gone wrong and I keep using them. They respond no matter when; I have had to use them on the weekend and they are here when I need them. They are very professional.

They worked with me and gave me several options in all different price ranges. When I finally decided on the system they came out within a few days and installed it. The installers arrived at the 8am, as promised, and were finished by noon. While the heat pump installers were installing the new system the crew that installs/repairs the duct did their job. Everything looks and works great now. These guys are very professional and know what they're doing. They explained the new system to me, showed me how to use it, and cleaned up so well that you couldn't tell anyone was ever here. I would definitely recommend them.
Since my duct had one single plenum that stretched from the air handler to the other end of my house and had several 90 degree turns due to vaulted ceilings, the airflow was very poor on the part furtheset from the unit. They cut the plenum off at the last bend and capped it then ran a whole new piece from the system into a new box they created from the portion that was cut off. Now the air flow is the same all over the house. I also qualified for a Gulf Power rebate for $600 dollars which offset the price of the duct repair since I went from a low efficiency to a high efficiency unit.

My air conditioner stopped cooling so I opened it up to find that the indoor coils where frozen up. Called these guys at 8am Monday morning and they sent someone over immediately, within half an hour. I was very impressed with the service tech Jerry, he was very friendly and knowledgeable. He informed me that the evaporator coil had a leak and needed to be replaced. I could see that the coil was rusty and was over 10 years old. He gave me all of the options as far as what he could do for the time being and I decided to look into having the system replaced. I didn't want to start replacing a piece at a time only to have something else go out in a few months. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone and will use them in the future.

I got his name from a friend, and I called him when my regular A/C guy went out of business. In the process of looking at my 2 A/C units for the problems, he found out they were still under warranty. He was able to get the repairs done at no cost to me, except for the labor. This is what really stands out to me: about 6 months ago I had an A/C repair company out, and he said the warranty had expired, and charged me for parts and labor. Then I had Mooneyham out, and he took the time to research the warranty to make sure the warranty was still in effect. He didn't have to do that. I called his boss up, and I told him he has a man of integrity working for him. I will use your company as long as you are in business! He's not the cheapest, but he's not the most expensive. The part that needed replacing was expensive! You don't find people like that. He has my unqualified approval.

4/5/12 James Scott from Lowe's Install Services and David Beach from Mooneyham Heating and Air in Milton came to my home to assess my need for a new heating and air conditioning system. They inspected my old system both inside and outside my home and went into the attic to assess my ductwork situation. We discussed various options at that time. I was advised that my ductwork was in a state of deterioration and might have been responsible for some of my problems.

4/7/12 I received a written estimate from Mooneyham with three options outlined for my consideration. There was also a separate estimate for replacement of my ductwork should I decide to include that in my project. Subsequently I opted for "Plan B" that included installation of a Trane HVAC 2 1/2 ton system with a SEER of 14.5. I also decided to have my ductwork replaced as I had also gone up into the attic and seen the condition of the existing equipment.

4/12/12 The Mooneyham installation crew arrived promptly at 8am and began work. Two installers worked in the attic on the ductwork and two others worked in the house and outside replacing the old equipment. The work was completed by 11:30 am. All debris and
old parts and boxes were removed and the work areas were carefully swept and cleaned. The workers were competent and courteous and answered all my questions. One of the installers took me around and showed me how my new system operated and advised me on how to set and reset the new thermostat.

4/13/12 A representative from Lowe's Install Sales called to ask about how the installation went and make sure everything was satisfactory and met my expectations.

4/17/12 The County Inspector came and assessed the work that had been done and advised that everything appeared to have been done in the approved manner.

I would not hesitate to use Mooneyham's services again and would also definitely use Lowe's for future projects as they become necessary. All in all the whole process was pleasant and I feel I got a good product at a fair price.

We are really pleased with him. They are very prompt and have nice seasonal checkups. If you get the preseason checkup's you get a discount on any repairs that need to be done. They are reliable and know their stuff. They have been really responsive.

A/C would not work. Called and got prompt action within hours.

When we bought our present house, it came with an air-conditioner/heat pump provided by the builder. Unfortunately, the builder did not choose a very good air-conditioner. In fact, it has the worst reputation in the industry! When it became apparent that we needed to replace the air-conditioner after eleven years, we shopped around and tried to do some research on what would be the best replacement system at a reasonable cost. We took bids from local air-conditioning companies who were representatives and installers of specific national brands. After considering the features, reputation, and costs of the national brands, as well as the services to be provided by the local companies, we decided to purchase a Trane from Mooneyham Heating and Air Conditioning. Everyone at Mooneyham has been extremely professional, courteous, and knowledgeable.
The experience could not have been better, and we feel that we made the best decision.

The annual inspection was expensive compared to other companies that I called in this area. The technician spent a lot of time talking about matters not related to the service call, and it appears we were charged for the time. Other concerns: we asked for estimates of having the HVAC system replaced and never received a reply. We were charged $75 for a second call for an apparent HVAC leak. In my opinion this should have been covered by the previous payment for the recent inspection. The technician, on the second visit, told my wife he would telephone me that evening to discuss what should be done. I made a point to stay home, but he never called. I would not recommend these folks, they are expensive and not responsive to very reasonable requests.

It was a very difficult installation, there was hurricane damage during the rough-in. They had to return a number of times to fix things others had messed up. After installation, they came back to explain how to use the system. They were very responsive to any issues we had with the new system. If I needed him, he would have been here anytime, whether it was a weekend or the middle of the night. We have a 10-year parts and labor warranty whereas other companies only offered 6 months. I am extremely happy with their service.
