"Armato Heating and Air and Brent Weiss oversaw the recent purchase and install of a Daikin Mini split unit in my mid century modern renovated ranch house sunroom. The financing option Armato Heat and Air offered was very helpful, communication with the installers and speed of the installation was impressive. And the new unit- amazing! The room cools in record time. But the fine point of the attractiveness of the piping and tubing was what I like the most. Brent and Dylan cleaned up the clutter of cords and tubing from the unit that was replaced to get it down to very clean and simple lines. I am so pleased with the whole job. I really recommend this company for HVAC needs."

"Awesome, Jeff was very knowledgeable on system and how it would work.  He did not try to sell me something that I did not need.  Other company wanted to install a pump system that would have cost me $10,000 instead of $5080.  Workers were extremely nice and hard working.  They cleaned up their mess everyday before leaving the job site. They had the job done in 2 days instead of 5.

"The installation was completed in one day. Mr. Esposito and his workers were professional, prompt, and courteous. There were no issues or problems with the installation and the value received for the price was excellent. I will definitely use this company again for any additional needs that I might have.

"Jim Farrell and North Alabama Technical Services rebuilt my computer and provided me with everything I expected and so much more.  He provided the various options in equipment, including specs and pricing, answered all our questions and helped us make the best decision for our purchases.  The computer was completed in a few days, far less than expected, the installation included clear directions for use.  The package also included a good warranty for the equipment.  I was extremely pleased with his service and would not hesitate to recommend his company to anyone with computer service needs."

"The AmeriServ sales rep from the first visit was friendly and helpful. He didn't try to "over sell" and we felt he was honest about the available options, pricing, quality, etc. He answered all of our questions and wasn't pushy at all. AmeriServ pricing was competitive with the other companies we spoke with.
We ordered the installation of 2 new garage doors, replacement tracks, hardware, openers and an outside keyless entry pad (so hopefully we never lock ourselves out of the house again). The installation date was set at the time of the order, about 2 weeks out - because the doors we wanted had to be ordered. Otherwise installation may have been sooner.
The ONLY issue I have with this installation is that we didn't receive a courtesy call from anyone at AmeriServ the day before or morning of the scheduled install. Normally, a company will contact you the day before as a reminder - and to make sure everything is still on as scheduled. In this case, having not heard from them by mid-morning on the install date, I called their office to make sure there weren't any problems. Keep in mind that homeowners often need to juggle schedules for these things, so it's nice to know if there are delays. Everything was fine though. The crew had just received the doors from the delivery truck and they were on their way.
The install crew arrived at my house a short time later. They removed the old, rotting, original garage doors (20+ years old), the old bent-up track, and the outdated openers and spent the next 5 hours or so installing all of the new doors and equipment. They didn't hurry the job and made sure everything was working smoothly. When they finished, they went over a few topics with us, including maintenance and operation.
I've taken a close look at their work over the past couple of weeks and I'm very satisfied with the results. The new doors look great and the openers work perfectly. You can barely hear the garage doors opening now, whereas our old ones shook the house when they opened. Of course, that's to be expected when something new replaces something over 20 years old.
Given what I've seen with their work, I have no doubt that these doors will easily last the next 20 years of my home's life. Seeing the quality of work done on this project, I now plan to work with AmeriServ on some electrical projects in need of completing. If their electrical crew are as good as their garage door crew, there shouldn't be any problems.

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

If you're often struggling with radiator issues like chilly spots, leaks, or annoying noises, those are common indications that your radiator may need to be replaced. Corrosion, uneven heating, and persistent hissing sounds are common issues as well. When repairs become a regular chore and your home’s energy bills start to rise, a new radiator will bring the comfort and savings you need.

No, boilers and water heaters are not interchangeable because they serve different primary functions. Boilers are used for central heating systems, providing hot water or steam to heat your home. In contrast, a water heater's purpose is to supply hot water for daily household use, such as for faucets and showers. A water heater alone cannot supply the warm water or steam needed for a central heating system.

While they are not interchangeable, it is common to have both a boiler and a water heater. In fact, a conventional boiler often works best when a water heater system is already in place. The two systems can be combined to provide both heating and hot water, either by pairing a boiler with an indirect water heater or by installing a premade combination boiler-water heater unit. For home heating, some homeowners may also opt for a furnace instead of a boiler.

An expansion tank must always be installed on the supply side, which is the side where the boiler sends water out to heat the systems. That placement allows the water to push against the air and condense properly as it is heated, then circulated through the system. Professional installers can recommend the best place on the supply side for an expansion tank.

The best time to buy home heating oil is in the summer when the demand is lowest, as the prices are usually lower. However, waiting until the summer to buy is often unavoidable unless you install a separate storage tank. If you have the space for a second tank, you can expect to pay between $1,000 and $4,000 for the oil tank replacement or installation, depending on the capacity and location. You could quickly recuperate these costs, though, by stocking up on heating oil in the summer and avoiding deliveries in the winter when prices are highest.

Installation costs range from $4,000 to $12,000, depending on unit size, efficiency rating, and labor.
