"Shane with EaZy Electrical and Plumbing was absolutely awesome. We got a very reasonable price on the project, and he came out and made sure everything was done right, even staying late to make sure we weren?t without water for the night. I misunderstood part of the project and Shane had no problem canceling part of the project without charging us, even though he had already started work. Extremely prompt, professional, and hard-working. 100% recommend these guys for anything you?re needing done. Very happy with our choice going with EaZy Electrical & Plumbing and Shane."

Hi! I’m Jaylen Over the past few years, I’ve done a lot of independent work from professional childcare to fast-paced personal services that completely relied on top-tier time management and an attention to details. Because of that, I am very efficient, walking into a cluttered room and transforming it into a comfortable functional space. I don’t just do a quick surface wipe-down; I catch the small things that usually get missed, and I treat every home with total respect. Beyond just getting the job done right the first time, I bring a warm character and an easygoing, positive energy to my work.

"After reading what seemed like 50+ reviews and BBB reports and complaints from various AC companies and being bombarded with calls and emails, I decided to go with Armato Heating and Air. Anthony Armato, owner responded quickly to every email I sent him and provided me with a very reasonable quote. The next day I met with Brent Weiss, Solution Expert who was kind and understanding of my concerns and the negative past experience I had with another heating and air company. Brent was very upfront with me explaining the issues with my current unit and provided me with several replacement options never attempting to upsell or pressure me. The following day installers Victor & Jose came exactly at the scheduled time and installed my new HVAC system. Victor and Jose were friendly, courteous and very professional. They laid down tarps and the install was done with no damage to inside or outside property. They even disposed of the old unit and debris. It was a hassle free experience and a pleasure dealing with Armato Air, Brent and crew. I highly recommend Armato Air to anyone needing and wanting excellent HVAC service."

Heating and Air Conditioning questions, answered by experts

Capacitors are the most frequent part of an HVAC system to experience failure. These components are crucial for starting the motors that power the fans and compressor, but over time, they may become worn or fail due to electrical surges or regular wear and tear. When capacitors malfunction, HVAC systems may experience decreased heating or cooling efficiency, or even total system failure. Replacement or maintenance of capacitors is a common requirement for the optimal functioning of HVAC systems.

It is normal for the attic to be hotter than the rest of the house in the summer, but only by about 10 or 20 degrees. Attics that aren’t properly insulated or ventilated can reach temperatures of 130 degrees or more which can cause damage to the home’s structure, including the roof, wood framing, and HVAC system.

No. HVAC, which stands for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, includes all of the systems that work together to regulate a building’s temperature and humidity levels. In comparison, air conditioners only provide cooling. You can have an air conditioner as part of your HVAC system, but not all HVAC systems include air conditioners.

Whether an HVAC damper should be open or closed depends on the season, the zone it controls, and the temperature in that zone. In the summer, open upstairs dampers and close lower-level dampers to get the most efficient cooling possible. In the winter, do the opposite. Cool air will naturally flow down to lower levels, while warm air will rise. This keeps your system from working harder and helps prevent common AC problems.

The average life span of an HVAC system is 15 to 20 years. Even if your old air conditioner is still functional, it isn't as energy-efficient as a newer system (especially one with an Energy Star designation). Older HVAC systems aren't as efficient, and the 10-year mark is when you should start making full system replacement plans. Twenty years in, that plan should be well underway rather than waiting for the unit to die.
