"They showed up for the bid on time and were very pleasant. The quote came by email. When I accepted the quote, the scheduled the work promptly and actually showed up to do it. My office manager paid for the work without confirming that it had been completed. I had 5 stumps that had not been ground. I contacted the company, having little faith that they would return in my lifetime to complete this work. They answered the phone, scheduled a time, came back and did what they said they would. Nice to work with a company that has integrity."

"Bo?s Trees was very professional with removing a few trees in my yard. They arrived on time, equipped with all the necessary tools and safety gear. The crew assessed the situation carefully, discussing the best approach for each tree to ensure minimal disruption to the surrounding area. Throughout the process, they worked efficiently and methodically, taking care to protect my lawn and nearby plants. I appreciated their attention to detail, especially how they cleaned up after the job was done, leaving my yard looking tidy and well-maintained. Moreover, their team was friendly and approachable, answering all my questions and providing tips on future tree care. I felt confident in their expertise, and I would definitely recommend Bo's Trees to anyone looking for reliable tree removal services."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Yes, the same rules discussed above apply to your neighbor: They can trim one of your trees as long as they’re only cutting the portion that extends into their property. Your neighbor is not allowed to access your property without permission, nor can they cut past the property line.

You should prune ornamental trees once every other year after the fruit has matured and begun to drop. You should also prune out dead branches whenever you see them. Pruning too often can stimulate more growth, especially in faster growing varieties like Bradford pears.

Although the terms tree trimming and tree pruning are used interchangeably, they are very different types of tree maintenance. Tree trimming involves enhancing the appearance of your tree by removing unruly branches, providing your tree with ample sunlight and nutrients and prevents unsightly overgrowth.

Tree pruning helps keep your trees disease-free. This process removes unhealthy growths, dead branches, and other unhealthy parts of the tree. It’s more common for deciduous and ornamental trees but not so common for evergreen trees. To determine which method you need, discuss it with a tree trimming specialist.

Trees naturally want to grow upward, so one may straighten all by itself, though this only comes into play when a tree is leaning just a small amount. For trees growing into an awkward position or those leaning heavily in one direction, the above steps are necessary to ensure the tree gets back on the right path. This also holds true for trees planted in a spot with unstable soil.

Trees provide many benefits, including shade, habitat for local wildlife, and cleaner air, so it’s always a good idea to try an alternative strategy like crown reduction before you chop one down. But sometimes, cutting down a tree is the only option (like if it’s severely diseased). A licensed arborist can assess the tree and recommend the best course of action.
