"Outstanding. I noticed the other day that my front porch light had dropped out of the recessed receptacle and was hanging by its wires. I quickly contacted several electricians from Angie's list and only heard back from two of them. Both were pleasant and helpful. One could not get to me for about 7-9 days. The other (Phaze Electric) had me on their schedule the next day. Jerome showed up early and quickly assessed what was needed. He obtained the necessary part from Lowe's and was back in a flash to remove the old housing and install the new one. I also used Phaze Electric a couple of years ago to hang ceiling fans on my back porch and they did an excellent job then, too. Phaze Electric will be the company I call in the future for all my electrical needs. I trust them to do a great job at a reasonable price."

"Our electrician was Jorge. He was professional and amazing. On time, did an awesome job and cleaned up after the project was completed. We had 6 3-inch can LED lights installed and a large fan/light installed in our kitchen. He removed all the old fixtures and fan and discarded them. I would call them again for any of our electrical needs."

"My experience with Jose was great. He was referred to me by my realtor who refers him all the time. When I called he actually answered the phone. He gave me a very fair price quote over the phone and we set an appointment for the following week. He sent me a text confirmation and said he would send a confirming text the night before the appointment which he did. He showed up at the designated time and did a great job. He completed everything in a professional manner and took great care to not make a mess anywhere or damage anything. He layed plastic where appropriate to catch all the dust and debris from the installation and cleaned up everything. In addition to being very professional he is a very friendly nice guy. I am having him come back to do the electrical for my kitchen remodel. I would highly recommend him."

Bathroom Fan Installation questions, answered by experts

In short, no. You can use the square footage range chart in this article to determine the right size ceiling fan for both indoor and outdoor spaces. However, weather elements can damage types of ceiling fans that aren't designed for outdoor use, so your ceiling fan should be weather-resistant if you plan to install it outside.

Most duct booster fans are not designed to run continuously, though some models can be programmed for constant operation. Typically, they are controlled by the user via a switch, controls on the unit itself, or by being wired to the HVAC system's thermostat. Wiring the fan to a thermostat allows it to run automatically only when heating or cooling is active, which saves energy and is an effective way to activate the fan only when needed to address issues like uneven room temperatures.

Regularly clean fan grilles, check for dust buildup, and ensure proper venting to prevent mold growth.

On average, a bathroom fan lasts between five and ten years. The fan's lifespan depends on its quality, installation, and frequency of use. You can extend its life with regular cleaning and by promptly addressing any issues. Common signs that you need a new fan include mold growth, a burning smell, unusually loud noises during operation, or lingering odors in the bathroom. If your fan is no longer working as well as it once did, consider replacing it. The cost to install a new bathroom fan is typically between $240 and $550.

There are many signs of a bad AC fan motor, including if the fan blades don’t spin when the AC kicks on or if they keep spinning when the AC is off. The AC fan cools down the condenser coil, so a faulty motor can also cause the system to overheat. Unusual noises in the exterior AC unit, including grinding or rattling sounds, may also be a sign that the AC fan motor is worn out.
