Small jobs welcome

"Best asphalt sealing I’ve had on my driveway. Driveway is over 50 years old and we’ve had it sealed many times. Bay to Bay Paving is by far the best job we’ve had! Very professional, prompt, polite and great service. Price was in line with other quotes I received. I Highly recommend and will use Bay To Bay again when driveway needs resealing."

"I recently hired Pave USA for a concrete driveway installation at my property in West Palm Beach, and I am beyond impressed with the results. From start to finish, the team provided outstanding service, making the entire process seamless and stress-free. First off, the customer service was top-notch. The team was friendly, professional, and took the time to answer all of my questions during the initial consultation. They helped me choose the best concrete option for my driveway, explaining the benefits and different finishes available. When it came to the actual work, Pave USA exceeded all my expectations. The crew arrived on time, were incredibly efficient, and paid attention to every detail. They prepped the site thoroughly, ensuring a solid foundation and the finished product is smooth, level, and looks fantastic. The craftsmanship is exceptional, and it’s clear they used high-quality materials that will last for years to come. I also appreciated the team’s punctuality and cleanliness— they made sure to keep the work area tidy, and they were respectful of my property throughout the entire project. The job was completed on schedule, with minimal disruption, and at a very fair price considering the high level of service provided. If you’re in the West Palm Beach area and need concrete services, I highly recommend Pave USA. Their professionalism, skill, and dedication to customer satisfaction are unmatched. I’ll definitely be using them for any future concrete work!"

"I needed pavers installed for a small walkway next to my house and did my research on companies in area. This company had overall the best reviews. Called and Stacy (very nice) helped to set up an apt for a quote. Bob came out beginning of Aug, very nice person and I said up front I needed done by end of the month. He said it should be no problem, he just has to check on availability of the specific paver I needed. From that point forward it was completely disappointing. I would have to follow up via text every 5 days or so and most of the time with no response back. It is only common courtesy that a business replies. This went back and forth until finally I asked him to call me. Again, no reply and I was ready to cancel and I left him a voicemail as it had been a month with no results. Suddenly the next day pavers showed up. We are now into Sept.and past the timeline I wanted this work done for many reasons. Same thing..no responses to my text to find out when the install would be. I am a professional working from home, have meetings most of my days, and have kids I have to pick up in the afternoons (plus sports). Therefore I need to plan ahead (area they need to pave also behind locked gate with pool). Nothing. A week later after pavers sitting on my driveway they show up in the morning unannounced to do the job. They had no idea where to install. I had to be late to my scheduled meeting because I had to show the installers what to do and where. Bob (or someone) should have been there to do that part and I should have also been told they were coming so I could plan accordingly. Honestly how do companies who behave like this stay in business? The quality of the work was great (thank goodness) and the main reason I did not cancel sooner because I did not want to start all over with another company when I knew they would do good work once they did it. Apparently Bob no longer with the company (retired) and I gave the owner my feedback when he came to pick up payment early one morning (again unscheduled and announced) on what customer experience should look like vs what I received. He understood and hopefully will make things better going forward for other customers as their quality of work is great!"

"Mr. Stolec was not only prompt in his response, but was clear on everything from pricing to scheduling. He immediately understood the service that we requested and came back with a reasonable quote. He got the work done as requested and it looks great. We had a small side patio installed next to the house for our two sheds. One small blemish which he promptly responded to. I would recommend him, and will be reaching out to him again in the future for any similar services."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

Driveway aprons typically range between four and seven inches thick, though your town's building codes will likely have specific requirements. Additionally, you may need to add a layer of permeable aggregate in the excavation below your paved apron to ensure proper stormwater drainage.

Yes, you can retrofit an existing driveway, but this usually involves cutting grooves into the driveway, installing the heating elements, then sealing them. While this is much less expensive than typical heated driveway systems, the final appearance could be diminished. Speak with a driveway paving company to confirm which design method is best for you.

Regular sealing, crack filling, and professional inspections help extend pavement lifespan and prevent costly repairs.

While paving a driveway is possible to do as a DIY project, we don’t recommend it. Hiring a driveway professional to pave it will ensure that your driveway looks neat and clean and lasts for years to come, and it will also prevent a weak driveway and, potentially, damage to your foundation. Paving a driveway requires heavy machinery, and while you can rent the equipment needed, operating it close to your garage slab or around your home’s foundation can crack it and lead to structural issues.

Wet cutting is usually the preferred method. It controls dust, which helps protect your lungs and makes for a cleaner working environment. Plus, the water cools the blade, preventing overheating and prolonging its life while providing smoother, more precise cuts. The downside is the mess—water and asphalt sludge can be messy to clean. Dry cutting, though convenient if water isn’t available, creates a lot of dust, which can be harmful. This also increases the risk of blade damage due to overheating. So, if you have the option, wet cutting is the better method for most asphalt jobs.
