Small jobs welcome

"This was a simple, straight-forward repair to unclog our system. I called Mr. Auger after business hours on a Friday evening and did not expect to even hear from him until business hours on Monday. He called on Sunday evening and was able to set up a service call for Monday morning. The plumber who called on us was completely professional. He arrived exactly on time and went to work right away, resolving the problem in around an hour. At ever step he was cordial, friendly and polite and explained everything that needed to be done and the price was reasonable (and lower than I expected). I give Auger's Plumbing the highest recommendation."

"Definitely would recommend Ed and his staff. We have used many services through out Brevard and they are by far the most reliable and thorough we have experienced. Thank you for repairing our old pipes and washer fittings at a reasonable cost. Also patched the wall and cleaned up afterwards. Thumbs up."

"Job required removing toilet & replacing seal. Did not realize they had to grind away some of the cement...He tried to clean it up...But would have been good had he thrown a towel over my sink/vanity so all my cosmetics were covered with cement dust...But the toilet works!"

"Experienced plumber, friendly and neat. He removed toilets in one piece, cleaned the area, and replaced with new toilets. The product was beautiful. An expert for sure. Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

No, you should not see water in a sewer cleanout. If you do, it could indicate that you have a block or leak in your main sewer line—which can cause sewage to back up inside your home and potentially flood your yard. Your best bet is to call a local sewer cleaner if you notice any water or sewage around your cleanout.

Yes, pop-up drains commonly get clogged with hair, soap scum, and toothpaste. It is important to know how to properly clean the drain or get professional help to ensure it remains clear and can drain water effectively.

A bit of water in the bowl can help unclog a toilet, especially if you're using a plunger. However, if the bowl is full to the brim, you'll need to strap on gloves and remove some of the wastewater in a cup or container so it doesn't overflow when you try to unblock the pipe. If you're concerned about it filling further, manually close the flapper in the toilet tank or turn off the water supply to the toilet.

Yes, continuing to flush a clogged toilet is not likely to break up the clog. Instead, it will continue to put pressure on the clog while filling the bowl with more water, which can potentially cause the toilet to overflow—leading to an even bigger mess. Rather than repeatedly flushing, use a toilet plunger or plumber’s snake to dislodge the clog.

A saturated leach field can result from various underlying issues, so it's best to call a professional septic company to diagnose and treat the problem. Depending on the cause of the saturation, potential fixes include pumping out a full septic tank, adding more bacteria to the tank, or regrading the soil to fix low spots. It may also be necessary to reroute rainwater and runoff away from the leach field using gutters, downspouts, and extenders. Once the primary issue is resolved, planting specific types of vegetation over the area can help absorb excess water. In more severe cases, you might need to install a larger septic tank or replace the leach field entirely.
