Small jobs welcome

"Rodolfo Palmas does it all. I needed a handyman to help me put my house back together after the hurricane. My sons room was priority for me since he had no drywall or ceiling in his room. I reached out to him and he responded immediately and came to see me the next day. He gave me an estimate and understood that this was important to me. He started the job right away and kept coming to make sure he took care of his room. We would communicate and he let me know when he was coming and the time. He is caring and as a family man he understood that children comes first. My sons room looks awesome and I am very grateful to him. We will continue to communicate in order to keep fixing my house at a pace that works for me and my husband. I have an entire house to fix but my heart is happy because he helped me take care of my son. God bless him and his family. I would definitely hire him for my future projects."

"Allen did a wonderful job! The roof and porch look amazing and the pricing was very reasonable. Allen is very quick to access the issues and develop the solution. He was prompt and courteous. I now have the person I will call whenever I need help. I highly recommend him!"

"Randy was very professional and honest in assessing the problem with my washer and told me that fixing the washer made no sense because it would cost so much that I was better off purchasing a new one. He took his time explaining the issue and answered all my questions. Prior to Randy coming to my home another contractor literally began to pull a part out of the box without telling me the visit including part and labor would be over three hundred dollars. Clearly Randy could have done the same but his priority is serving the client, not his monetary gain. Hire Randy. You won't regret it."

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

Absolutely! Smoke alarms are lifesavers. According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), per 1,000 reported home fires, homes without working smoke alarms have a death rate nearly twice as high as those that do have working alarms. So remember to ensure you have enough installed in your home and that they are working and in good shape.

In most cases, having a fire hydrant installed on your property, whether it’s maintained by you personally or your municipality, will reduce your insurance premiums. Its proximity to any buildings on the property will reduce the time it takes to put out a fire, thus reducing the resulting damage.

In general, it will take about 90 minutes to burn the creosote sweeping log by itself, allowing it to work its magic. This may be longer or shorter depending on the conditions of your chimney.

Fire doors are constructed to have certain resistance levels regarding fire. A traditional door can typically resist fire for less than one minute, whereas fire doors can resist it for 30 to 120 minutes, depending on the fire door rating. Fire doors give you and your family a better chance of safely escaping during a fire than standard doors.

You can let a fire burn out in a fireplace as long as you or someone else will stick around to monitor it until it goes completely out. This may take several hours. To prepare, stop adding fuel to the fire well before you’re ready to call it a night. If you’re using the fireplace for warmth, you’ll want to cover up in some blankets as the flame dies down.
