"5The movers were prompt and very professional.  They worked very hard for most of the day and only took 1 15 minute break (I didn't ask for this, they just kept going)!  They are very careful with your belongings and so, they are not super quick. We did appreciate all the care that they took with her things.  Nothing that we requested was too much work for them--thanks guys!

"Excellent service. Professional - the person that gave the quote explained everything very clearly. The Installer (garage door opener and replacement of some parts on the actual door) was excellent and thorough. Tech cleaned up the wiring that was there and added some reinforcements. The previous door had not been installed very well. (Handyman special maybe?) There was an issue with the new opener kicking the breaker so I had to get an electrician our before I could use it. I went from 1/2 horse to 3/4 horse, which the electrician said I didn't I need due to size of door- 1 car small garage. I had no idea what I really "needed". I would recommend company though I think they are a bit pricey (But generally you get what you pay for.) and I maybe should have researched horse power needs before committing."

"Shed movers exceeded our expectations. Tim had so much knowledge and ideas as to what size would work best for our needs. After we placed our shed order, It became necessary to request a later than expected delivery date, Tabitha was very gracious, and and understanding. Prior to this - we realized we better change the trim color, called and the owner Ron answered, he made sure that happened for us. What a Super Group of people. The delivery people were very polite, professional. It is as if they can't do enough to ensure you are totally pleased with your decision. The guarantee they stand by for their product, is I believe quite rare these days. I just could not imagine shopping anywhere else for the products they offer. Thank you Shed Movers."

"Wonderful! John and his staff are efficient and willing to do nothing but the best for you. I showed them all of the furniture that needed to go and John gave me a fair price. He was conscientious about having his men do everything neatly and with no damage to my floors. I couldn't ask for a better job at a fair price. Definitely will hire him again if the need arises."

"I own 3 warehouses and have used Reade many times over the past two years. He and his crew have done clean up work and renovations of units after tenants leave, general carpentry and construction, repair and some remodeling, painting, pressure washing, and a lot of other tasks related to keeping the warehouses looking good. Additionally, he has done work around my house and I have recommended him to several other companies that I have relationships with. The other companies are also impressed with his work and continue to use him on other jobs as needed. He and Robert work hard, don't slack off on the job, are very fair regarding pricing, are punctual and follow up if there are issues after the object is done. Reade is very knowledgeable about a lot of things related to construction and knows what to do and what not to do. Just this weekend, Reade and Robert worked with me on a shed I was building. I will keep working with him in the future. And that says it all."

Greenhouses and Nurseries questions, answered by experts

Eco-friendly materials include sustainably-sourced woods, recycled metals, low-VOC paints, and non-toxic sealants, which reduce environmental impact. Using these in repairs promotes sustainability and can improve indoor air quality and overall building health.

Minor fixes like patching leaks or repainting are DIY-friendly, but structural repairs require professional expertise.

In most cases, wait three to five days to repot or relocate a plant from a greenhouse or nursery. That way, your plant has time to recover from any shock during the move and adapt to the conditions in and around your home. Some hearty plants may not need as long, and delicate plants might need several weeks. You should ask the professional at your nursery for a recommended timeline. Consider asking about an initial watering schedule to help stimulate root growth and promote a healthy plant.

Adding burnt charcoal to your garden beds and plant pots can yield several benefits, but there are risks involved, too. Charcoal, particularly biochar, can enhance soil structure, improve water drainage, and increase nutrient retention. When activated, charcoal provides key nutrients like nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. However, burnt charcoal, especially from briquettes, can inadvertently alter soil's pH levels and become hazardous to plants. Overall, there are better and less risky soil amendments available, such as vermiculite, perlite, or wood chips.

The quickest way you can protect plants and trees from frost is to cover them with garden blankets or frost cloths. Also, bringing potted plants or trees indoors is much simpler than trying to cover and protect them outdoors. Remember to anchor blankets with something such as sandbags, fabric pins, or rocks if the forecast calls for strong winds to keep them from blowing away and exposing your trees and plants.
