"One of my customers in The Meadows in Sarasota had ESD Solar Company do an installation at their home. When the installation crew arrived, they came flying up in front of the home, and drove over top of the grass and parked on the sidewalk. I tried to explain to the gentleman that it was a deed restricted community with a pretty strict HOA, and the HOA along with the customers did not appreciate driving on the grass or parking on the sidewalk. The installation Tech was very condescending, rude, and dismissive. He stated, "Don't worry about the grass, the grass is fine". It was also hard for me to finish my work due to the way they parked/ positioned all of their stuff. I called the company to report this to a manager. The manager I spoke to did not seem very receptive or Pleasant about my call regarding this issue. He did say that he would try to address the issue. I went back by there around 2:45, and they were already done and gone . An installation like that should have taken longer. They were rude and unprofessional. I would definitely search other options for a more professional / courteous company. They did later acknowledge and apologize for the incident, but we're very quick to state that I am not a customer, and the customer was satisfied with the experience. Unfortunately, this is what I refer to as a face value company/service. They are nice to the customer, but seem to be discourteous and unprofessional in other areas. As far as the installation, only time will tell the quality of it. Quick update. I went there today, (which is a week later). I cannot believe the way that they mounted and ran the ground wire from the electrical panel on the side of the house. The wire comes straight down from the box and goes into the ground. There is no conduit / sleeve to conceal the wire, or keep it close to the house. And they buried the wire too far away from the house. IT LOOKS TERRIBLE! If the HOA saw it, they would most likely send a letter. I pointed it out to the customer, and she agreed that it looked bad, and it was not a good job. I wish I could say something positive, but this has been an overall bad experience."
