However, an independent engineer confirmed the issues stemmed from an inadequate installation—ducts left unsealed, causing microbial growth. Despite our efforts to resolve this, Protek repeatedly changed their explanation, shifting blame from the hurricane to previous installers. Additionally, they downgraded our system from a 4-ton unit to a 3-ton unit while falsely marking the installation as an equal swap on permit paperwork.
