"José & his team did a remarkable, outstanding job in cleaning & sealing the grout lines of my entire home; which were stained by Irma related water damage. The outcome of their obvious expert & professional work was the grout and the floor tiles looked better than the original installation appearance! In addition, they restored and sealed the grout in my bathroom, with the same exceptional outcome & appearance. I will use their services, without hesitation, in the future. I do & will highly recommend Creative Tile Cleaning & Marble Restoration."

Marble Restoration questions, answered by experts

Onyx countertops are naturally porous, absorbing liquids and staining easily without proper care. Regular sealing every 6 to 12 months is essential to keep them looking their best. Daily maintenance includes wiping up spills immediately and avoiding harsh cleaners or acidic substances that can etch the surface.

No, you should not put a hot pan or pot directly on a quartz countertop. While quartz is generally heat-resistant, the resin binders used in its manufacturing are sensitive to extreme heat. Placing a hot pan on the surface can damage the resin, leading to discoloration or other cosmetic issues. If the heat exceeds 150 degrees Fahrenheit, it can cause permanent damage, such as burns or even cracking. To protect your countertop, always use trivets or hot pads.

Professionals use resin fillers, diamond polishing pads, and sealants to restore the surface.

Quartz countertops are relatively expensive, but they’re a very popular option because of their durability and attractive design. Some manufacturers also offer lifetime guarantees for their products. Even though they’re expensive, they could wind up being a one-time purchase.

It is not recommended to put a hot pan directly on a marble countertop. While marble is heat-resistant, it is not completely heat-proof, and extreme or prolonged exposure to high heat can cause discoloration, cracking, or chipping. Pans may also scratch or nick the surface. To protect your countertop and maintain its integrity, always use trivets or hot pads. Note that faux marble finishes do not resist heat and require protection from hot items at all times.
