"Jeff, & Tim are the people to call, especially if you need a bat exclusion done. They made sure every single bat was gone before they collected the final payment even though it meant coming out 4 to 5 times. They were very fair with the pricing, especially since bat exclusion is very expensive. They explained the process in great detail, so much so that it made us realize that the other company who quoted us would have illegally removed the bats, keep in mind they’re federally protected, & we the home owners could have gotten in trouble. I would recommend them to anyone who needs animal removal. Their warranty was such a good deal we even signed up for pest services. Melissa contacted us two weeks in advance to let us know when our first treatment starts, and they’re a local family owned business. Moles live underground and feed on insects. They dig and move through tunnels, usually in meadows or forests but sometimes in lawns and gardens. They are about 6 inches long with large claws, tiny eyes, and hidden ears. 

Shrews do not dig their own tunnels but will use other animals’ tunnels, and are about 3 to 4 inches long. They look similar to mice and feed on insects.

Voles are similar in size to moles but have large eyes and small but visible ears. Rather than eating insects, voles are herbivores that prefer seeds, grasses, and plant roots.

Armadillos are most active during cooler hours to avoid extreme temperatures, particularly the daytime heat in the warm climates where they live. This activity pattern helps them reduce the risk of overheating and dehydration. They are generally active from late at night to early morning, often between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m., but can also be seen around dawn and dusk. An exception to this is during mating season (June-July in the northern hemisphere, November-December in the southern hemisphere), when male armadillos may be more active than usual.

Small animals, particularly rats and mice, like to burrow inside pool heaters. To keep them out, seal any entry points with caulk or steel wool. Then, place mothballs inside or around your pool heater. As a final measure of protection, you can cover the pool heater in hardware cloth or wood paneling to further block entry points.

Unlike for rats and mice, poisonous baits and fumigants aren’t a legal option for dealing with squirrel invasions. So, don’t set any traps up using standard rodenticides. Remember that you typically need a permit for trapping and relocating squirrels found on your property. Some states even specify the types of traps you need to use.

Squirrels are pretty skittish creatures, and they dread the presence of rodent-chasing dogs and cats. Sudden noises and bursts of activity can send them scampering away. Anything with an element of surprise, like motion-detecting lighting, strobe lights, and noisy wind chimes, can unsettle them. Even loud radios and voices can be perceived as threatening and terrifying to these furry critters.
