"I realize it is way past hurricane Ian, however I was not aware of any issue(s) until now. My fence was installed back in 2019 and I paid 6k for a vinyl privacy fence for 3/4 of my yard and chain link on 1/4. Of course the vinyl fence was destroyed by Ian. I have been informed though that the vinyl post should have had wood posts inside them to reinforce them rather than be hollow. In addition it was brought to my attention that no tension wire was installed on the chain link fence. I am not a contractor and had no idea there should have been a tension wire. The lack of tension wire continues to allow for animals to enter my yard. I am a single mom on a budget. I had several estimates and chose Englewood Fencing, which I know now was a mistake. I would advise against using Englewood Fencing."

Large breeds that are also excellent jumpers, such as Greyhounds, may need a 7-foot high fence. 

The depth of the fence posts depends on the height of your fence. If you’re installing a 6-foot fence, then digging 2-foot-deep holes for the fence posts will help ensure a secure installation. However, if you’re installing an 8-foot fence, the posts will need to be deeper than 2 feet to support the structure properly. Also, consider how far apart the fence posts should be to provide adequate support.

Specialized electric fences and, in certain cases, concrete can be more expensive than metal, but wrought iron is one of the most expensive fencing options, which is why you see it most often on expensive estates and in affluent zip codes.
