Let me first state this is the first time I have ever left a negative review for any company of any kind. Carlos was great at first. Super responsive, came out and laid sod in my backyard within a week of contacting him. However, it was all down hill from there. I could tell from the moment the sod was laid down that a lot of the pieces looked very distressed. Carlos assured me they would come back to life. I gave it a month, watering twice a day exactly as Carlos instructed. At the end of the month, the grass looked even worse, with significant portions visibly brown and dead, not rooted in. I asked Carlos to please come out and look at it. That is when the excuses and unresponsiveness started. Carlos claims he came out and looked at my grass without me home. He gave me no warning he was coming. So either he is lying or he went into my backyard without my permission. He stated to give it another month and lay down starter fertilizer which i did. Now here we are two months from original install and significant portions are still dead with no signs of returning to life. Carlos and Andres have completely ignored my calls and texts for weeks now. Dont be fooled by their friendliness and responsiveness up front. They only want your money. Ive read their reviews and obviously it seems like I am an outlier which I cant understand. Just be warned that if youre grass turns out like crap, they WILL NOT come back and make it right. Even if you follow every instruction just as I did.

Andres and his crew are the best. We inquired for a quote and within the same day he came out and shared all info - and was VERY transparent in his recommendations. This company did a fantastic job sodding my front lawn. They ordered fresh St. Augustine Sod. Careful attention was given to the laying of the sod. They made sure to measure where sprinklers were located before doing sod work. After sod work, sprinklers were once again tested to ensure the heads popped up. Mr. Andres and team were very professional and have outstanding work ethics. I highly recommend this company for sod installation. I am a happy customer.

I reached out to Andres with Gulf Bay Sod last Wednesday(maybe Thursday actually) to inquire about sod installation. My backyard was in rough shape, full of weeds, rocks and sand spurs. I inquired about ripping all of that up and then having Bahia sod laid down. Not only did Andres reply to my inquiry within minutes, but he personally called me, asked me about my needs and recommended a plan. From there, he came out the next morning at 7AM to complete a free consultation. The advice made sense and we put together a plan at a very fair price. Today is now Thursday, only 6 days later, and the job is done. My backyard is beautiful and his team was professional and efficient. I highly recommend Gulf Bay Sod!

Andres and his crew were awesome--I was planning on doing my project myself, but I had some issues come up that did not allow me the time or capacity to get the work done. Andres got my information from the sod company I purchased from and tried calling me, but I was working and missed his calls, so he took initiative to come to my house. After talking and measuring, I hired Gulf Bay Sod. They worked me into their schedule last minute, came in and blazed through my job. They were on time, extremely efficient, professional, friendly and Andres gave me a great price for the whole job and I couldn't feel better about how everything worked out. I would have lost a significant sum of money had it not been for them, so I am extremely grateful--big thank you! I've worked in and around trades all of my life and it is so difficult to find people who show up on time, do the job, do it well, take pride in their work and treat you well.
