"This was not a "no brainer" job.
I have several large live oak trees on the east side of the house where the chimney is located.
One major trunk overhangs the top of the chimney and had previously caused some damage..
So, Jon and Gordon spent lot of time trying to figure out a solution that would reduce the risk of future tree damage during high winds. For this they designed, fabricated, delivered and installed a unique design of cap and chase cover that meets our needs.
They chose aluminum coated steel to inhibit rust, but we will probably paint it at a later date when we paint the house.
We chose not to replace the wood trim. They repaired the stucco as requested.
They honored the original price quote.
A combination of my undergoing medical procedures, the summer weather and the custom design work by Jon and Gordon meant we didn't actually do the job until August 28th.
They were prompt, performed the work in 5 hours and delivered a quality project. It was worth the wait.
I encouraged them to update their listing on Angie's list. They are insured and bonded, based in Sarasota but do work in Hillsborough, etc. They ask for a small down payment. Credit cards are accepted.
