"Javier is very, very good and is a man of his word. He came out on a Sunday to have a look and estimate our stucco job. Said he could do the work the following Friday. As promised, he came the following Friday afternoon and knocked our stucco job. He even stayed late to make sure it the job was complete. Very reasonable price. I wouldn't hesitate to contact him again should I need someone with expert level stucco skills."

"There is a review posted under my name that was done by my ex. If you read the last review, please disregard it. Jay was a five star guy did unbelievably great work. My house looks like a brand new home he did back out on the painting but for very understandable reasons, I did see other work did get done when he said he was going to dedicate the time from my home and that did not happen which caused my house and not get finished. However, I still rained him at least a four or five star due to his work quality it is phenomenal , he did put me off for months after collecting money from me that was concerning he keep calling me and saying every two days heâ ll be there but wasnâ t and then showed up and then had to refund me my money back so again I would highly recommend him for Stucco work Drywall plaster repair he did not hang any of my fixtures back up. He did leave debris around my yard but the last review was just a bash on him and canâ t do that. He did a great job with exception of breach in the contract and leaving me with a home that was half done in so many words, but work quality five star customer service four star getting back to me was a five star, but downgraded to a two star accept a job send them a contract tell them youâ re gonna dedicate every day for them and not do exactly that and ask for more money after negotiating a fixed amount Anyway I just wanted to share. The last review was a big bash on him on an upset moment and I wanted to re-review because I cannot delete that for some reason it will not let me have a good day."

"Gabor did a great job repairing some drywall. He did a fine job of matching texture on ceiling which was a different than wall. Did a great job matching wall as well. Also, he did baseboards in a closet and they now match well with the rest of the room. Cleaned up after the job. Very friendly and easy to work with."

Small jobs welcome

"Excellent stucco work by Knoe, the primary stucco worker. Got to job and stayed till complete. Must wait about 2weeks to apply Sherwin Williams Loxon primer/sealer after stucco application.. Returned in 2 weeks and job completed. Stucco work is very messy so critical that plastic covering over all brick and masonry areas. This needs to be re-evaluated every morning and reapplied as needed. This was their only shortcoming, but they did return and were able to remove the spots. One of the nicest companies Iâ ve worked with, from laborers to salesman and even ownership. Thoroughly happy with job and was happy to pay when completed! Neil F South Tampa, Fl"

Stucco questions, answered by experts

The best exterior paint finish for stucco is a flat or low-gloss finish. A high-gloss finish will show imperfections in the stucco and give it a candy-coated look that many homeowners don’t like. The best types of exterior paint to use on stucco are acrylic, masonry, and elastomeric. However, acrylic is recommended because it is both durable and breathable.

A standard drill will work just fine if you’re drilling small holes, and only a few of them. But anything with a diameter larger than 3/8 inch is best done with a hammer drill, since it is stronger, faster, and also makes your drill bits last longer. While you don’t absolutely need a hammer drill for stucco, it is a worthy investment if you think you might drill more holes down the road.

The cost to replace the chimney crown or top is about $1,550 on average. The range varies widely depending on the size of the chimney, the materials used, accessibility, and the extent of the damage. If you suspect a problem with your chimney top, call a professional masonry contractor for an inspection.

You should aim to let stucco dry for at least 48 hours before it rains. While misting new stucco and keeping it moderately moist is important for strength and longevity, uncontrolled exposure to rain can lead to weak stucco that doesn’t bond properly. Rain can also affect the stucco finish and the color unevenly, leaving you with less appealing siding.

The best way to assess that your stucco needs repair is to inspect it, both visually and physically. If you notice cracks, chips, or staining, that’s a good indication that your stucco could use some TLC by a professional. Additionally, if you touch an area that feels soft and has a little “give,” you should consider repairing it as soon as possible to avoid further damage, both to additional stucco spots and to your home’s structure.
