"My wife and I just bought a house in Pinellas County, near our daughter and family, but we were still living on the East coast of Florida. We came in to coordinate projects related to plumbing, electrical and carpentry. I had three companies/contractors for each category scheduled to come in and review the projects and give me quotes. Trying to schedule 9 contractors is like trying to herd cats, but it got done, even though there were some time variations on when they came out that day, all but a few showed up. I always like to meet and get multiple bids on any projects I have for my home. The inspection report for the home showed several pluming issues. Of the three plumbers who came out. Only Paul Laezza from Phillip Maurici, “The Clean Plumbers” came back with a quote without additional prompting. Again, his bid was not the cheapest, but his demeanor and demonstration of his skills won me over. His company sent out a plumber who did exactly what they said they would. I was on the East coast at the time, and we communicated via text and voice. He sent me pictures of his work and all my plumbing is working beautifully. I found Paul to be very professional, pleasant to talk with and an expert in his field. The company “the Clean Plumbers” had some issues with phone support over the weekend (they share an off-hour phone service), but eventually that was resolved. I will use Paul again for any future plumbing needs."

"I?m not a plumber but soon as plumber walked in he said it?s leaking from element and said I have to replace the entire hot water heater. I noticed on some places they said you can fix the element and it?s not that expensive. So now my mind is saying I paid too much when I could of fixed for cheap. "Be cautious!!! I had this company re-pipe my home a few months ago and was very pleased with their work. Last week the city told me that I had a leak in my main water line outside. The leak was caused by a cracked PVC coupling just about a foot from the meter. When the plumber came out a short time after I called (a different guy from the one who did the re-pipe) rather than fix the problem he insisted I needed a new line. The cost was going to be $1,500 but after negotiating it became $1,000. A few years ago I would have done this myself but I physically no longer can. With no water I was stuck. He hand dug a 50 Ft. trench about a foot deep with a shovel and then installed a new PVC pipe and covered the trench. Total time was 4 hours which included a 1 hour trip for what he said was parts. This is something I have done myself when I was younger and I know what was involved and the parts cost couldn't have been over $75.00. I think that this is a prime example of companies taking advantage of people and gouging them. I trusted that after my first experience with this company I could rely on them being honest in their dealing but now I don't think so. The plumber who did my re-pipe was honest and I felt gave me a good value for the money, but he was let go for some reason. This new guy who came last week was far less than that."
