"These guys did great work they removed two huge Live Oaks from my property with very high quality of work. They are extremely hard working and they are so much more affordable then any other other tree company. Very polite and curtious. I will recommend them to anyone from now on, they are the go to, arborist company!"

"I hired Hackford to remove two massive trees, stamp grind, and hallway all debris. I also had them remove dead shrubs, trimmed the front shrubs, and raise the canopy of a tree. The crew took a day and a half and were courteous and efficient. I was very pleased with how good the yard looked. I'd hire Brandon for future jobs and I highly recommend them."

"Mr. Nettles came out to my property within an hour or so of calling him. Gave me a fair quote and did great work. He takes pride in his work and wants to make sure his customers are satisfied. He definitely worked hard! He is also a wonderful person to speak to and have dealings with. I had him trim my palm trees, remove a giant pine with stump grinding, and remove a patch of cacti. Give Mr. Nettles a call!"

"Ron has been taking care of my trees for several years. Quick to return calls and communicates his schedule clearly. He knows what needs to be done, even when I think I did! When he is done, there is not a speck of tree debris left any ware. He is highly recommended!"

Arborists questions, answered by experts

Steer clear of the area and contact your utility company immediately. It will have a website portal and/or a phone number to report downed trees and electrical issues. If the tree appears to be on public land, you may want to call your local government and report the issue there, too.

Tree roots are hearty and complex systems, so they don’t die immediately after the rest of the tree is removed. If you leave the root system in place, it takes anywhere from two to seven years for it to run out of nutrients. It is worth noting, however, that the roots stop growing and expanding after cutting down the rest of the tree.

The best time to transplant a tree is when it is dormant. For many trees, this means either in the fall after the leaves have dropped (around October or November) or in early spring before new growth begins (around March). The ideal timing can depend on the type of tree. Deciduous trees do well when moved in early spring or fall, while evergreens are best transplanted in early spring or late summer. For example, pine trees are best moved in early fall, but maples prefer late fall. Avoid transplanting in winter, as the frozen or hard, cold soil poses a significant risk to the roots and prevents the tree from acclimating properly.

There are several signs that may indicate a tree needs to be cut down. These include visible damage to the trunk or branches, a hollow trunk, extensive storm damage, or a significant lean to one side. Other warning signs are pest infestations or the tree growing too close to a house, power lines, or other structures. It is best to hire a professional arborist to inspect the tree, as they can determine if it can be saved or if removal is necessary.

Palm trees aren’t much different than your typical tree removal. Removing a palm tree is a standard procedure as long as pros have the proper tools and supplies. For DIYers, however, there are some risks associated with palm tree removal. Palm trees have spiky fronds, bark, and patches of hefty wood. So, it’s best to let an experienced tree service pro remove a palm tree.
