"Jeff and his helper arrived on time and worked very quickly. They had to make a quick trip to the warehouse for a part, but the whole job only took about two hours. They were extremely professional and even switched out the bulb in my garage light for me. I recommend them very highly. Very affordable and helpful."

"Mike did a fantastic job installing recessed lighting in our bonus room. A very professional experience from beginning to end. Before starting, Mike took the time to sit down with us and finalize a design of what exactly we envisioned for that room. The end result was exactly what we had planned. I would definitely recommend Mike for your electrical needs."

"Extremely professional, reasonably priced, HIGHLY RECOMMEND! We are remodeling our master bath and needed to change the lighting. Jose came over the day I called him, had an estimate emailed within an hour of leaving and was available to work later in the week. He was very polite, professional, and did great work. He even worked with me to make a change when I didn't like the original fixture picked for one of the lights. A++"

"He had to take my ceiling fan down 6 times to get it right and he did not charge anything for that. He did close to $3000 worth of work and charged me under $1000. Then he told me as a personal favor if I did not have enough money for the odd jobs at that time he said I did not have to pay him all at one time. Out of all of the contractors I have been around with my father, he is probably one of the best. He does not do anything half way.

He will go anywhere in the state of Florida to do what needs to be done. He will do all of your estimates before he even starts. If you need him to run to home depot or Lowe's he will get the parts upon request."

Chandelier Installation questions, answered by experts

There are four main types of lighting used in homes: ambient, task, accent, and decorative. Within these categories, there are a number of fixtures to choose from including ceiling-mounted lights, floor lamps, under-cabinet lights, track lighting, and more.

Choosing the fixture that’s right for you depends on your home design and the area you’re looking to illuminate.

The light that your ceiling light gives off will largely depend on the type of light bulb that’s installed in it. If you’re looking to brighten a dark room, LED bulbs are the way to go. LED bulbs will emit the most light while also using less energy than standard bulbs. They can last up to 50,000 hours and will need to be replaced much less often than standard bulbs.

In many cases, installing or replacing a light fixture on your own is a reasonable afternoon DIY job, and you can easily learn how to install a light fixture yourself. If the light fixture requires new switches, cuts into your drywall or ceiling, new wiring, or any other more complex task, it might be worth calling a local contractor who has the right knowledge and expertise.

The average cost to install a light fixture is $600, with a typical range of $200 to $1,100. The total cost depends on several factors, including the type and number of fixtures, wiring requirements, and your location. Additional costs may apply for removing old fixtures or for any necessary electrical or drywall work. Replacing an existing light fixture is generally less expensive than installing a new one because the wiring is already in place.

Yes! As a matter of fact, there are many sensors that add motion to existing outdoor lights. These motion sensors attach to pre-existing flood lights and other outdoor lights without any fussy and potentially dangerous electrical work. Additionally, some flood lights and related fixtures ship with motion sensors built-in.
