"Positive: Punctuality, Quality, Responsiveness, Value I am so happy and thankful for the efficient and excellent service from Anna, John and Kevin! We received our estimate for our electrical panel replacement then discussed warranty and permit information. While on site, I realized I needed 2 additional replacement items (smoke detectors). John and Kevin picked up new smoke detectors then installed and tested in no time. I highly recommend Glabe Family Electric! You will not be disappointed with the friendly staff, dedicated service and thorough work effort from this company. â â â â â"

"Garish was very responsible and knowledgeable. Always responded to my calls. He is really knowledgeable as an electrician. Did an excellent job with no complaints, specially working up on my clutter attic since Ian. We placed things up in the attic and have not organized it then. Garish is a really nice person too. He is was able to work with my budget, too. I am very thankful I found him. I won't request electrical services from another company, ever. Beech Electrical is the best!"

Small jobs welcome

"We called NU Electric to switch out three light fixtures on the outside of our house, and Josh came over. He did an outstanding job, even taking care of some of the wiring that had to be re-worked and the price was fantastic! I’ll call NU Electric for any of my electrical needs from now on and I highly, highly recommend them."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

There are several reasons why an electrical outlet would suddenly stop working, including:

  • Broken parts in the outlet

  • Outlet burnout

  • Circuit breaker tripped

  • Damaged circuit breaker

  • GFCI outlet tripped

  • Damaged or loose wires

  • Failed connectors

  • Appliance failure

For a 200-amp underground service, you need a minimum of #2/0 American Wire Gauge (AWG) copper or #4/0 AWG aluminum or copper-clad wire. Don’t forget that, at minimum, you’ll need to use a 1 1/2-inch schedule 40 or 80 PVC conduit to successfully run a 200-amp underground service.

Wiring or installing a light the wrong way can lead to potentially dangerous scenarios, including shock and even electrical fires. If you’re the least bit uncertain whether you’ve wired something correctly, the best and safest approach is to call in a professional electrician to handle the installation for you.

Yes, dehumidifiers use a lot of electricity. However, proper humidity also means your home’s temperature remains more stable, thus lowering heating and air conditioning bills. The good news is you shouldn’t need to use a dehumidifier more than a few months per year, so the energy costs won’t be as noticeable as other larger appliances.

A 100 amp electrical service panel can't convert into a 200 amp panel simply by switching the breakers or adding circuits. Upgrading from 100 to 200 amps typically requires replacing the circuit box and updating the electrical service coming into the house. Your electrician will handle the details of the project to ensure a safe and thorough installation.
