"What an amazing experience working with Skyden Contracting. When looking to do a full remodel of our bathrooms, Kitchen, Bathroom, Flooring and painting, my wife and I did our research. When going to Angie's list, SKyden Contracting really caught our eye. Upon reviewing the glorious reviews about their work, we decided to give them a call. We called and the receptionist answered. She took down our information and stated that the owner would get back to us within a couple of days. We were called back and Eric was fantastic. I immediately knew that he was an experienced professional who really cared about what we wanted and the best way to achieve that...especially since we were spending quite a bit of money. He scheduled a time to come out...and again, we were impressed with the knowledge he had. He really listened to what we wanted and explained the best way for us to get there. Once the work began...Jr. and his crew were outstanding. Demo went smooth. They cleaned up after themselves each day. They took all precautions to ensure that we were as comfortable as possible with the amount of work being done. They were always on time and never made any excused as to why they could not come out to work. The scheduling of the work to be performed was perfect and strictly adhered too. Our Bathrooms look AMAZING!! Our Kitchen is ever more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. The flooring looks absolutely FLAWLESS. The interior of our house was completely repainted and we absolutely love the work that has been performed. I always had a vision of what our remodel would look like. "Everyone at Solar Shield was very nice and professional. We had a few concerns when the moisture barrier was installed and we still had rain in our bedroom. Frank got it corrected the next day, and finished the roof the following week. The good news: very nice looking roof with no more leaks. The bad news: we got pictures of the hurricane straps installed and had the roof inspected by our insurance company. They found that the hurricane straps installed were not up to their standards and neither was the moisture barrier. They also found multiple slats (we didn’t have decking that covered the whole roof - old house) that were split and compromised during the work, so we were unable to qualify for any insurance discounts. Overall, we have a nice looking roof - top of the line from Solar Shield Industries. Hopefully, it will last a lifetime. But unfortunately, we have some decking remediation that needs to be done and we still need hurricane straps, which will probably be clips now. Not a big enough deal for me to raise a stink. I can retro clips and repair the few decking issues from the attic & under siding. And apparently, the moisture barrier is just not what the insurance company accepts as a “moisture barrier.”"
