"Terra Pavers have completed two projects for me. The first involved installation of a large paver patio where a large tree had been removed and a large hole was left. I could not have asked for a better outcome or a more professional crew. The attention to detail is incredible. The workmanship is outstanding. One year later, the second project involved widening of my driveway with pavers. Once again a huge ficas tree was removed and Terra Pavers arrived to a huge hole filled with roots. The crew was spectactular and took extra time prep the area and install the base so as to avoid future settling. Terra Pavers specializes in doing things correctly, doing little things to make your job look special and ensuring your satisfaction. The workmanship and final product make their pricing more than fair. I highly recommend Terra Pavers."

"He sent workmen to install the window. He didn't come himself. They were there, they did it and did a good job. They were punctual, clean, and they even bring a shop vac. They clean up, not perfectly, but the fact that they do it. The little paint chips and filings when they adjusted things, they vacuum it all up. The window was a custom measured product and it was a perfect fit. It didn't come with, in the package, with covers for the screw holes so he had to go get them. He was gone for an hour to go get the things to finish it in one day. The caulking that his boss did shrunk a little and you could see a little bit of a crack. He said you know what, I'm gonna caulk this over again. He didn't even do that installation but the guys that were doing the windows were caulking things and making them pretty.

The guy began doing screen enclosures with his dad and he became a contractor. I said to him, who's gonna do a better job on installing the windows you or the guys. He said the guys because they've been doing it for 20 years and they're my professional window installers. I do screen rooms.

I have nothing but compliments to say for them. For the hurricane windows, I interviewed about a thousand companies and I am very happy with my choices. Everything he does is an A.

"Eloy was wonderful to work with. Not only did he bring samples to the house but also met up with us at his suppliers to make sure we had a good representation of what the finished project would look like (natural stone varies by lot). We wanted a shape other than a rectangle and he worked with us on the plans and during the install to make sure the pattern came out right. We used our pack patio pavers to widen our driveway and then installed new Travertine to install a new patio. Eloy took care of all permitting issues including re-enforcing the sidewalk. His crew cleaned up the job site, and capped/move the sprinklers so we did not have to call another company out in the middle of the job."

Patios questions, answered by experts

A Florida room is a home addition that has finished walls with windows lining the perimeter, while a screened-in porch, also known as an Arizona room, lacks windows and instead has screens to maintain constant ventilation. Florida rooms provide longer enjoyment throughout the year because they’re closed off and will naturally get heated from the sun, while a screened-in porch will just be the same temperature as the ambient air.

Yes, a sunroom will require a permit. You may just need a general construction permit for a screened-in porch or solarium. For a three-season room with electricity and a four-season room with electric, heating, and cooling, you’ll need additional permits for each of the utilities, as well as a roofing permit.

With proper maintenance, the average life span of a screened-in porch is six to eight years for the screens themselves, but the foundation and structure can last for 50 to 100 years. To keep your screened-in porch in good shape, clean your porch screens regularly, patch holes, re-seal the wood as needed, and address any foundational issues right away.

When designing an attached greenhouse, several factors should be considered. These include the orientation and positioning of the greenhouse to maximize sunlight exposure, the structural integrity of the connection to the house, sufficient insulation to regulate temperature, proper ventilation for airflow, and adequate space for plants and pathways. If you’re restricted because of your budget, go with a simpler design to maximize the use of your money.

In almost all cases, you will need permits if you plan on building a sunroom over your patio, but regulations and requirements will depend on your municipality. Permits to enclose your patio will usually cost between $300 and $1,000. Since navigating local building codes and zoning requirements is challenging—and the consequences of not following them can be extremely expensive—we strongly recommend hiring a sunroom builder to complete the work and pull the permits for you.
