North Florida Lawn & Pest, LLC

I used North Florida several years ago and my lawn started to decline. I threatened to cancel and they were unresponsive so I cancelled. 2 years ago they came knocking begging for my business back and promised they were a different company but I started having the same issues. I gave them 2 years and received promise after promise on how they would make up for the lack of attention to my lawn. You can see by the pics that they made it worse. They were nonresponsive again so I cancelled again. After cancelling I received a call from their service manager telling me that he would lower price to keep my business and when I told him no, he became very rude where I needed to hang up on him. Do not use this company if you like your lawn in good shape.

Called for estimate. Salesman Mike came out and looked at yard and we agreed on weed control both post and pre emergent. The first call the applicator did only the front yard and told me he did not have enough product to do the back and side yard as he had two more yards to do that day. I asked if he would return the next day and told no, in three weeks or so. This was not what any other company has ever done. I called office and they of course were sorry, and would send someone out. Before the other person came, got a call that said they noticed sucking insects on shrubs. I needed to have them treated, and told them I was aware that two types of trees/shrubs had a mild issue. However, the one could not be treated as it was still in dormancy and with no leaves, it would be useless to spray. The others were in full bloom and have to be treated when weather is cool and no blooming. He said okay so I thought he recognized there was a timing issue on treatment.

I contracted with NFL&P for lawn & tree/shrub service and paid in advance for the year. They treated my lawn 5 times and, during two of those visits, treated trees/shrubs twice. I then called on March 3rd and cancelled the contract and asked for a refund of the balance. Seven weeks and five calls later and lots of excuses (e.g., manager is out sick, need to follow up on it for you, the refund is in process for issuance, let me check with the manager) I finally receive a refund BUT the refund check was for only $105.50, instead of the $343 remaining in my account. I seldom go to the trouble of writing an online review, but this time I feel compelled to express my displeasure with this company. I wish I hadn't paid the year in advance. They offer a small discount for prepaying, but this saga concerning the refund of my balance has caused me to seriously reconsider ever prepaying anything ever again. Be forewarned.

Started the service last week was told someone should come out the next week, decided to cancel was told they need a 30 day heads up to cancel how are you enforcing this on a new clients that just signed up 7 days ago and never used your services wanting to cancel before someone even comes to your house. Highway robbery even the owner didn't want to give us consideration said they'll still charge $67.50 half off the original $130 they wanted to charge and threatening collections because they already bought materials their business already needs. Why am I being charged for this? Do not get services from this company they are greedy and do not care about satisfaction from customers, as soon as they have your card number you're done for.

I have had several lawn service companies and twice I had to re-sod my whole yard but North Fl has a yard tech name Noel he is the best tech I have ever had he is knowledgeable and very professional and not to mention very curtesy and Noel has turn my yard 360 degrees since he started spraying it with that being said I will only let Noel touch my yard, Noel is a huge asset to your company thank you Noel and North Fl. I hired North Florida Lawn in 2021 to resod my terrible lawn. The yard is now beautiful, and their monthly service for fertilizing and maintaining the lawn is expert and reasonable. Justin Williams, our technician, is extremely courteous, knowledgeable, keeps me advised on things to look for and ideas. I am extremely happy with the monthly services of North Florida Lawn and highly recommend this company. Job well done monthly by Justin.

This is the very first review I have ever done but I had to. I have had a lot of lawn companies but they all have destroyed my lawn. this winter my lawn was completely brown while my neighbors yard was super green so I asked Noel for a card called and hired them best call ever Noel has turned my yard back to a home and garden yard, Noel does some kind of magic in 3 treatments it is beautiful Noel goes way above the call of duty he is the best I hope is is there forever not to mention the company is local and everone is great and kind please stay that way and ya'll will take over all of the other lawn companys!!!

I do NOT write reviews but would be remiss if I did not warn others of just how inferior a product this so-called company delivers. THE FRIGGIN WORST. We contracted with them to sod our backyard. They delivered substandard sod. The installation is so poor our yard is now crisscrossed with ruts up to wide and 2-3 deep - and spots where they said they would, THEY DID NOT replace the dead sod they installed. RUN FROM THIS FRIGGIN COMPANY!

The sod was old and dry. When I voiced my concern to the installers, I was told that grass is dormant (it was installed on March 3rd) and will come back in a few weeks. The office manager called me the same day. I have also told her about the poor quality of the grass, and her reply was the same: it will come back in 2-3 weeks and that she would email me the watering instructions. She also stated that she would come in 3 weeks to inspect the grass. I still was concerned about the grass and send her an email with the pictures. I had not received a reply and nobody came to check the grass. I had followed the watering instructions precisely, however, after a month the grass does not look any better. I have called the office manager 4 days ago, she promised that she will speak with the company president and will call me back. There was no call or a visit. I am extremely disappointed.

So far so good. Mike contacted me quickly, and provided a fair estimate and program.

When I signed up the salesperson Mike said he would personally manage my account. After using them for about a year my lawn began to look worse. Often they came while it was raining out to spray. When my lawn looked terrible and was full of weeds I canceled service and they continued to show up. I would not recommend using them. If you do use them I would not give them your credit card information or you may not be able to cancel the service. THIS BUSINESS IS NOT BBB ACCREDITED.

My husband and I are very satisfied with the entire experience. They did exactly as promised. Very professional. Mike was the 1st to come by to measure for the estimate. Anthony came next to confirm what we wanted and explained the process. The project began as promised, Great communication skills. When sod was being delivered as well as the dirt, everything was done exactly as promised. The installion of the 5 pallets of sod to our back yard, was layed just like I wanted. Jacob, the guy over- seeing the instaltion was very polite and respectful of my front lawn as well as my shrubs. The lady in the office took the time to email me regarding how to take care of the sod while it was rooting. We are so very pleased with our choice to use North Florida Lawn and Pest that we reccomend them to others. We bought our home in Palencia in April and have had to hire several different companies to fix various things in the home. We have dealt with unreliable people, with zero customer service skills...so it was great finally getting something done right! Thank you North Florida Lawn and Pest. Our backyard looks amazing!

Great service, Was not impressed with the sold I brought from them many of the pieces were dead pieces. I don't believe I will by grass from them again.
