Gifford Fence Company of Orlando is the second branch of a family owned and operated company. We started in Nashville, TN in 1978 when my Dad, Gerald Gifford, decided he wanted to be his own boss. 31 years later we have taken an opportunity to expand the business and move somewhere warmer. We currently have a total of 8 employees here in Orlando. My wife, Liz, & myself. Our foremen Jason, Clint and Austin & their helpers. We are licensed in Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Lake & Volusia counties and fully insured. We also have licenses in a myriad of towns and cities in these counties. If there is work to be done there, we will get what is needed to do it by the book. We offer free estimates 7 days a week. Hey, I'm self-employed, I have to work weekends, so my guys do too. "Got an estimate. Submitted HOA request after contractor could not access HOA website. Quote and plans were approved after I had to personally submit them. Received minimal communication from the contractor throughout the process. Constant ghosting and back and forth on rescheduling of install times and corrections. Original quote was not honored as they had made a “typo” saying we would get two gates but wasn’t drawn in the mock-up. Giving two stars because the work was eventually done, but not on time and not to the quality we would have hoped with multiple fence panels having gaps evident gaps or misalignments to the posts. An absolute headache inducing experience overall."

"I did my research and was quite confident this was the company I wanted to go with before even requesting a quote. Kip (owner) has written a lot of great posts on their site about what makes a great fence here in Florida and I recommend checking that out as you will understand just how knowledgeable he is. After scheduling the quote, I was stoked when Kip (owner) came out as he was training a newer employee. They were here for 1.5 hours and explained everything and showed me pictures of different fence designs until I found the one that I wanted. There was a spot where I had to step down from 6ft to 4ft, and Kip provided his recommendation based on location and a style that would best fit the contours of my house. And the end result shows that he was absolutely right! It’s these little details that make a huge difference when you are making a significant investment and rely on the company’s expertise to ensure it is going to look great. I had a partial fence install several years ago and this did not happen – there was no communication and it served its purpose, but I was never happy with how it looked (or the location they decided to place it). They went with what was easiest, not what would make the client happy and look best. It took a while to schedule the old fence removal, and new fence install, but the weather has been crazy here and Kip told me upfront that this could potentially add a delay. I was totally fine with this so I was prepared to be patient. And the communication was great at this point. I did reach out once for an update via email and received an immediate response. I feel this is very important – I’m good with waiting, as long as I’m able to get an update in a timely manner, and to me, this shows a great business with great employees. The fence removal was done in 1 day, and it took about 4 days to complete the full fence install and I couldn't be happier. I have had so many neighbors comment on how great it looks which is always nice to hear. I replaced a large portion of old fencing, but the portion the neighbors can see is brand new and you always worry they will not like a fence extending up the side of the house near the road -- but, it looks so good, no chance anyone was going to complain ?. I'm sure there are other companies that can offer a cheaper price, but you get what you pay for. This is a solid fence that was built perfectly, and the person on-site was in constant communication and conferred with me on all decisions made based on my yard and what would work best. Again, check their site, but the installation of the posts uses a tar/wrap that is similar to how they install telephone poles so you know that it is going to last a long time. The previous fence posts were done with concrete and it was embarrassing how easily the fence could be pulled down. I plan to live in this house for a long time, but even if I do sell, I know this beautiful fence is only going to help the resale value."
