"Mr Atencio was so helpful with my very small project, cutting an old Corian counter to accommodate a slightly larger slide-in stove. He gave me a free estimate, paying close attention to the measurements of the new opening. He showed me pictures of some jobs he recently done, and they were certainly impressive. His estimate was more than fair. He was very punctual. While making the necessary cuts, he minimized dust by tenting the space around the area. He vacuumed the area after he finished, leaving no trace of dust behind. Mr. Atencio is friendly and takes great pride in his work. I would definitely hire him for any future projects."

"I highly recommend this company for granite repair. They promptly responded to my request and scheduled an appointment for the very next day. They arrived on time, were extremely professional, and repaired my granite countertop so flawlessly that you can’t even tell where the crack had been. The pricing was very reasonable, and the quality of the workmanship was pristine. Reliable, skilled, and highly professional from start to finish."

"Ricky was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. We were building an addition to our home to move our elderly father in with us and we needed a vanity for his bathroom. It was an odd size and we sent Ricky a picture of what we needed and he built it to precisely what we wanted. He said that it would take 1-2 weeks and had it finished and installed in less than a week. I will absolutely use him again when we remodel our two other bathrooms."

Countertops and Backsplashes questions, answered by experts

You should use glue and screws when installing butcher block countertops. Opt for a construction adhesive or wood glue applied along the top edge of your base cabinets. For added strength, install support brackets on the base cabinets, then secure your countertop with screws. Make sure you only tighten the screws to the point where the butcher block is snug against the cabinet and don’t overtighten.

Gray is always a safe bet when painting concrete countertops, since concrete is a variation of gray. You may also choose black or white, but those are much starker colors that only do well in certain kitchens.

Recycled glass countertops can last between 10 and 20 years with regular care and maintenance. The exact lifespan depends on the binding agent used; acrylic is a highly durable choice, while concrete may shorten the countertop's life. Because the material is non-porous, it is heat-resistant, stain-resistant, and easy to clean, allowing it to withstand the rigors of a modern kitchen without showing significant wear and tear for over a decade.

You can occasionally use hydrogen peroxide to remove stains on concrete and granite countertops. Hydrogen peroxide is an oxidizing agent that cleans without bleaching surfaces, which is why it’s so popular as a budget-friendly cleaner. However, it’s still somewhat acidic, so you should use it sparingly on certain countertops.

Concrete countertops require regular upkeep to maintain their appearance and durability, and are generally considered harder to maintain than other materials. For daily cleaning, use a mild, pH-neutral cleaner and avoid harsh, acidic products that can damage the sealant. It is crucial to wipe up spills immediately, especially from acidic substances, as concrete stains easily. To protect against stains and moisture, the countertops must be resealed periodically—at least once a year, if not more frequently. Additionally, use a cutting board to avoid scratching the surface. Be aware that concrete is also prone to cracking over time, which may require repairs.
