"Mr Atencio was so helpful with my very small project, cutting an old Corian counter to accommodate a slightly larger slide-in stove. He gave me a free estimate, paying close attention to the measurements of the new opening. He showed me pictures of some jobs he recently done, and they were certainly impressive. His estimate was more than fair. He was very punctual. While making the necessary cuts, he minimized dust by tenting the space around the area. He vacuumed the area after he finished, leaving no trace of dust behind. Mr. Atencio is friendly and takes great pride in his work. I would definitely hire him for any future projects."

"I highly recommend this company for granite repair. They promptly responded to my request and scheduled an appointment for the very next day. They arrived on time, were extremely professional, and repaired my granite countertop so flawlessly that you can’t even tell where the crack had been. The pricing was very reasonable, and the quality of the workmanship was pristine. Reliable, skilled, and highly professional from start to finish."

"Ricky was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. We were building an addition to our home to move our elderly father in with us and we needed a vanity for his bathroom. It was an odd size and we sent Ricky a picture of what we needed and he built it to precisely what we wanted. He said that it would take 1-2 weeks and had it finished and installed in less than a week. I will absolutely use him again when we remodel our two other bathrooms."

Countertops and Backsplashes questions, answered by experts

Deciding between marble and granite for kitchen countertops depends on your personal priorities, budget, and style. Both materials have similar costs for material and installation.

Marble offers a luxurious aesthetic and timeless beauty, but it is more expensive and requires more maintenance. It is susceptible to staining and etching from acidic substances like coffee, wine, or tomato sauce if spills are not cleaned up quickly.

Granite is highly durable, heat-resistant, and easier to maintain, making it a practical choice for busy kitchens.

Both materials should be sealed to protect against damage, but they can still be vulnerable to stains if spills are left on the surface for too long.

It all comes down to rarity and demand. Granite rocks with unique patterns or rare colorways like red, purple, and blue are more expensive than traditional designs. Some types of blue granite are extremely rare, like Azul Aran and Blue Bahia, driving the price up even further. The most expensive type of all is a unique design called Van Gogh granite. As the name suggests, it sort of looks like a painting.

Marble is a porous natural stone that needs sealant to minimize staining. Leaving this type of countertop material sealant-free means any liquids left on the surface will quickly absorb into the stone, discoloring it and dulling the sheen. Dark or acidic liquids, like red wine, coffee, and lemon, are the worst culprits.

Yes, many services include the removal and disposal of old countertops. Confirm with your installer.

Concrete and granite are both extremely durable materials. One isn’t necessarily better than the other. It depends on what you’re looking for. That said, granite is less costly and requires less maintenance. Furthermore, concrete is more prone to staining and cracking, though you can patch the cracks using a concrete patching compound.
