"Kevin did a great job of installing new tiles in our kitchen, replacing baseboards in our kitchen and dining room, and installing a new bathroom faucet. Before the job, we met to discuss what needed to be done and the materials each of us would get. Communication was excellent throughout the entire process, and Kevin was always on time or early. He's also great about cleaning up at the end of the day. The kitchen looks great now. Thank you, Kevin!"

"Iâ ve had the pleasure of working with Jesus P. for many years, and I can confidently say that he is the best handyman Iâ ve ever known. His craftsmanship is top-notch, whether itâ s a small repair or a large renovation project. Jesus is incredibly reliable, always arriving on time and completing projects within the promised timeframe. One of the things I appreciate most about Jesus is his attention to detail. He takes great pride in his work, ensuring that everything is done to the highest standard. He is also very knowledgeable, often providing valuable advice and creative solutions to any challenges that arise. Beyond his professional skills, Jesus is a pleasure to work with. Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

Although you can put a smoke detector on a shelf, the NFPA recommends mounting one on the ceiling or a wall (within 12 inches of the ceiling). If you place your smoke alarm on a shelf, ensure it’s away from drafty, damp, or dusty areas and not near cooking appliances, heat sources, or fluorescent lights.

Yes, you can close off a fireplace both temporarily and permanently with extremely wide price ranges. Temporary solutions involve fireplace plugs that can be inflated to block air and deflated to open the fireplace, covers, and boards. Permanent methods of shutting off fireplaces usually involve bricking up the fireplace or covering it with drywall. No matter the method, it’s probably best to hire a professional.

After a house fire, you should not reenter your home unless the fire crew has told you it’s safe to do so. In the longer term, you should not attempt to make repairs to the house on your own. Professional crews are trained to clean up after a fire (including smoke and soot damage), dry out any water damage from the firefighter crews, and make the necessary structural, plumbing, and electrical repairs—and this is all likely covered by insurance.

No, it is not safe to use an outlet that sparked. A spark from an outlet could indicate a short circuit, loose or frayed wiring, or other serious damage. Continuing to use an outlet that sparks can increase the risk of electrical shock, electrical fires, and other hazards. It's important to turn off the power to the outlet at the circuit breaker if possible and avoid using the outlet until a licensed electrician has inspected and repaired it.

Yes, splicing wires can cause a fire if the splicing is done incorrectly. This is why splicing wires is a task best handled by electricians. One of the most common mistakes made when splicing wires is not using a wire connector. Without a wire connector, electricity flows unsheathed and can result in a home electrical fire.
