"I had an excellent experience. Mr. Reyes came out, explained everything in detail, very professional, had a folder organized with information about various types of roofs and materials used, prices, etc. Also had proof of roofing certification, insurance, licensing, bonding, workman's compensation insurance, Better Business Bureau A+ rating and letter of very good recommendation of work done recently on a local church. He kept check on the work daily and informed me of the process daily. The workers were very good, courteous and prompt and did a thorough cleaning up after the work was done. The foreman was very knowledgeable, patient and explained the process as well. I was also encouraged to come to the office showroom to get a feel of the materials used and while there a customer gave the company a very good rating stating they did a very good job on his roof and he would recommend them and gave them a high thumbs up. This also helped me make a decision to hire this company and I am very pleased I did. Butterfly hinges are one of the most common types of hinges and you can use them all over your home. Though they’re common on doors, cabinets, and shutters, you can even find them on decor, like jewelry boxes, music boxes, and trunks. Doors may have basic butterfly hinges, while the hinges on cabinets and decor may be more ornate.

You don’t need to shim both sides of a door, but it’s always a good idea. Wall framing is rarely perfectly plumb, and shims let you make minor adjustments to get your door perfectly level and plumb. This will ensure the door swings open and closes smoothly. You can also use shims on both sides of the door you’re installing or adjusting to center it in the wall opening.

Residential exterior doors should swing inward. While this cuts into your living space and prevents you from putting furniture near the inside of your door, it also means that the hinges will only be accessible from the interior. Hinges that sit on the outside of your home leave your property far less secure, as someone looking to get in could simply unscrew them and remove your door. Additionally, inswing exterior doors will be operable even if you have snow or other obstructions outside.

You can often fit a new door slab into an old frame as long as the frame’s in decent shape. The frame needs to be solid, square, and free of warping or rot. The new door has to match the old one in width, height, and thickness, and the hinge and knob placements need to line up or be adjusted carefully. However, if your frame is damaged, swapping just the door won’t cut it. In that case, replacing the entire unit would be the best move for a smooth, secure installation.
