Southern Comfort Pools builds concrete, in-grounds swimming pools and spas. We also remodel existing in-ground, concrete swimming pools and decks. We also install saltwater chlorination systems for in-ground, concrete swimming pools. We will replace existing pump and/or filters. (Please note: We don't work on fiberglass pools, vinyl liner pools or wooden decks)

"They did a great job re-plastering our pool. They took out the old step edge and replaced it with small tiles of flip flops and palm trees and suns across each step! It turned out wonderful! They did a great job. Pleased with how it turned out. They also re grouted the tiles for us, and it looked fantastic."

"Before we hire this company for a pool filter canister installation we make sure that they knew that our home warranty was going to pay for the job, labor and parts. We also asked the personnel of this company if we were allowed to purchase the parts ourself, and they agreed. But now, after the job is completed, they refused to send the complete invoice/bill to our home warranty claiming that they are not responsible for parts not bought through them. They failed to mention that little detail before we acquire their service s, and that little detail is going to cost us $1000.00 of dollars. It's really hurting us because my husband is an American Disabled Veteran, and we are on a fixed income. Thank to All Clear Pool and Spa out of Gainesville,FL for taking advantage of our Disabled Veterans."

A compact unit designed for two to three people typically weighs approximately 500 pounds in its empty state. On the other hand, a larger hot tub meant for up to six people can weigh around 1,000 pounds when empty. Materials used also impact weight. Less expensive hot tubs are typically lighter because they are made of molded plastic or fiberglass.

The general rule of thumb is to lower it by about five degrees when you know you’re not using your hot tub for an extended period of time. With only a slight decrease in temperature, it will be easier to increase it to a desirable level when you’re ready to get back in the water instead of starting from scratch.

You’ll know you need to replace the pump in your hot tub if you hear loud or unusual noises when the machine is running or notice a significant decrease in water pressure. A leak or altogether failure of the hot tub may also indicate a problem with the pump, but you’ll need a professional to investigate the source of the issue.

You should put chlorine in your hot tub on a regular basis. To keep bacteria away, keep the chlorine level in your hot tub at between 3-5 mg/l, which may mean you need to add chlorine daily or at least every two to three days. Don’t add chlorine to your hot tub water more than once per day.

  • Keep your exterior electrical receptacles covered and dry, especially around your hot tub and pool during periods of use.
