They showed up punctually and worked professionally and diligently to repair several cracks the completely stopped all water loss in the pool. Well worth it and a pleasure working with them.

He guaranteed to pinpoint the leak within a certain distance. He narrowed it down to a general area, but didn't charge us because he couldn't tell exactly where it was. With his diagnosis, we were able to bypass the problematic pipe. He was very nice and we recommended him to a friend who had pool leaks.

This is the fourth company I have had out in the last three years and Scott was able to find several leaks using processes everyone else should have done. It wasn't rocket science...Scott just found the leak.

Response from AMERICAN LEAK DETECTION - GAINESVILLE

"To whom it may concern: I am Scott Myrick. I was owner of American Leak Detection of Gainesville from October 2002 until January 14, 2016. The last 18 months of owning the franchise were very challenging and I got behind on day-to-day business. By 2015, I realized my customer base grew too large and I was unable to give my customers the attention they came to expect from me - and the service they deserved. I met Chad, the owner of the Daytona and Jacksonville franchises. We really hit it off and I decided to sell my franchise to him. He has a much bigger organization that can handle every single customer and provide the attention they deserve. I'm very sorry I did not meet him 18 months sooner. I know in my heart, from this moment forward, every customer will be treated with courtesy and promptness. Thank you very much Scott Myrick"

scott did a great job finding and fixing  the problems with my pool.  unfortunately he was not able to fix my skimmer line that would take cutting the concrete and replacing the skimmer. that is a major deal

After giving putting me off for weeks, Scott finally scheduled an appointment to check my pool for a leak. He did not show up. When I called him tofind out if he was coming, He was rude and unprofessional. He told me that he didn't have time to mess with my pool. He was too busy and that I should "get someone else!"

We were frantic that we had a slab leak. He worked and worked to find the source of the dampness and checked the whole house, not just the room where we found the problem. He explained everything he was doing and what the findings were, suggested some reasons for what was happening and ideas to try to fix it.

It worked out perfectly and okay.  He was very thorough. He was very precise and had all the tools he needed especially for a large swimming pool.  The pool builder even came while he was there, took his card too and said that the other companies he was dealing with seem never to do very well.  The pool builder was also happy with him.  He checked the edges of the pool to make sure there were no leaks.

First he called and said he'd be late - car wouldn't start. OK, no sweat, I'm home all day anyway. He squealed into the riveway and nearly hit a cat. He came in and asked why there was water in the pool. I had drained all but three inches. When I had talked to him on the phone to set up his visit, I had asked if it mattered if there was water in the pool or not. He said it did NOT matter. I pumped out the rest of the water while he fumed. When it was empty he went down into the ppol and pulled off the drain cover and promptly dropped his glasses into the drain. He hollered that he wanted to go home and stomped out to his truck. He had reached in and could not find them. After he stormed out, I took a plunger and applied a quick vacuum effect and like magic there they were. I took them out to him and he did ot say "Thank you." He said "Thankgod." I didn't see god getting his glasses back. He then said he was leaving and would give me a call. He left and has not called.

Scott spent many hours trying to find the leak in my pool.  He couldn't find it and suggested I try another company as they may be able to.  He refused any compensation.   Despite the outcome he was very professional, punctual and personable.  I believe he did all he could to find the leak and I would certainly recommend him and use him again.  He would have charged $300 to find and fix the leak unless it was underground.

I scheduled the procedure via phone. The technician showed up precisely on time. Very friendly and did not mind explaining step by step what he was doing. The technician induced a magnetic field by creating a current through the pipe and used this to detect the location of the pipes. Once the pipes were located, this was followed by injecting helium into the system and using the sound produced by the leak to pinpoint the location. Very cool.
