"Ben was very punctual.  In fact he was early!  He inspected the doors and went straight to work.  they were difficult as he was not able to remove them.  He repaired the rollers on two doors.  repaired rollers on two sliding door screens and replaced the screens.  He cleaned the tracks and now you can close the door with 1 finger!  I added on replacing the door handles on all my sliding doors.  He cleaned up his work area.  He did a really nice job and I am happy to refer him to others.  I will probably have him back to replace some window screens for me in the future."

Carl cleaned up after each step of the repair, worked diligently and offered to assist in any way that he could. I was only charged additionally for a few items that he had to purchase at Home Depot. I was impressed with his knowledge and aptitude. If I find myself in need of repair in the future, I will definitely make his my first choice.

"Jim responded promptly to my order placed on Angie's List for the Remote Computer Tune Up & Repair Deal.  He cleaned up the computer remotely, which was running very slowly, and required frequent re-boots.  Computer is running much faster now.  Great service.  Would highly recommend.

"We contracted with Robert Hershberger Construction to install Hardy Board siding on our wood frame home. We were ultimately pleased with the end project and overall improved look of the home. However, as the work was being completed and issues arose Mr. Hershberger was difficult to contact. It would take him several days to return our calls, all as his workers were continuing a project we had questions about. Several items outside of our home were damaged (pool equipment) but Mr. Hershberger repaired/replaced them all. What we are waiting for is a $500.00 rebate which was promised. When we sought bids for the project our decision came down between two options. Mr. Hershberger convinced us to go with his company promising a $750.00 rebate approved by the manufacturer. After the completion of the work, the manufacturer delivered a $250.00 rebate and stated that Mr. Hershberger was responsible for the rest. To date, after emails and phone calls, we still wait for our $500.00 owed and agreed to in the contract. The work was excellent, but the business side is quite poor.

Screen Repair questions, answered by experts

A garage door screen can be a worthwhile investment, especially if you frequently use your garage for activities like a home gym, workshop, or other hobbies. It allows you to enjoy fresh air and natural light without worrying about bugs. Additionally, a screen provides ventilation that can improve air quality when you're working with paints, varnishes, or producing sawdust.

The best option depends on your usage. For occasional use, a DIY fabric screen is a low-cost, simple solution that you can put up and take down as needed. If you plan to spend a lot of time in the space, investing in a customized, professionally installed garage door screen can help transform the area into a new hub for your household.

Most window screens in residential homes are designed to be removed from the inside, especially with double-hung, single-hung, and casement styles. That said, some setups require exterior removal. Older homes or custom installs may have exterior clips or brackets, and sunscreens are almost always mounted on the outside. Before removing your window screen, look at how it is held in place.

To ensure the longevity and smooth functioning of new windows, regular maintenance is essential. This includes cleaning the glass and frames, inspecting seals for leaks or damage, and reapplying caulking as needed. It is also important to lubricate all moving parts and operating mechanisms to ensure they continue to operate smoothly.

Screen doors have a positive ROI because of their safety features. They add protection from debris, critters, and, depending on the material, even heat. However, storm doors are better than screen doors when it comes to overall protection.

While sometimes used interchangeably, screen doors and storm doors have key differences. Screen doors are simple structures, typically composed of just a frame and a screen, designed to keep out bugs while allowing air circulation. In contrast, storm doors are heavier and more complex, built to protect your home's main entry door from weather and intruders. They usually feature an aluminum frame with interchangeable tempered glass and screen panels, allowing you to switch between ventilation and insulation. A storm door offers more protection and versatility but generally costs more than a basic screen door.
