"The experience was wonderful. They listened to what I needed completed, gave a price and scheduled the job. They arrived promptly and set to work. The work was excellent and has made a big difference in the appearance of my property. I also asked them about lawn service. They gave me a quote and came for the first time the first week of July. My lawn hasn't been cared for that well in many, many years. I am so happy to have found their service. People who care!"

"I hired New Image Landscaping for a couple of jobs, and was blown away by their level of service. If youâ re looking for good communication, attention to detail, excellent pricing, and all around great customer service, I would highly suggest New Image Landscaping. My only regret working with Jeremy and Tammy is that I didnâ t hire them sooner. I will definitely be using this company for all future projects!"

"We had a general concept of what we wanted to do. Mark and his team did a great job of helping us sharpen our focus, decide on details and execute them beautifully. The project involved a lot of different elements. Obviously, we had to choose plants and how to arrange them (their suggestions were excellent) but we also wanted to make extensive use of stone. Mark and Corey were very helpful in making the right choices. They helped us correct some persistent drainage problems, which were made worse by the loss of 3 large oak trees that had to be removed as a result of Hurricane Irma. They installed a french drain in the front and added drip irrigation in areas where we had sprinklers before. We also wanted to add accent lighting and we were determined not to create the runway effect that you get when you use lights from the big box stores. It required some trial and error but the final result is splendid, especially in front where they were able to add a particular accent light that gives the property a small, unique feature. Getting it done required some imagination and ingenuity on their part. I also want to commend the crew for the job they did on our edging, both in front and in back. Again, we weren't interested in going with the run-of-the-mill stuff from the box store. Instead, we used natural stone that called on the crew to do a lot of cutting and fitting and fastening. It's not easy to find a company willing to do this in the first place, much less do a bang up job. Landscape Design really came through for us. In front they added a series of large, flat stones to form a short pathway that we had envisioned leading at an angle from the front walk to the front yard. These stones were set in a bed of pebbles, all of which lie between natural stone edging on both sides of the pathway. The job is very well done and I think the most sincere compliment we've heard about it came from a contractor who is doing some work on our interior. He wanted to know where we got the large, flat stones because he wanted to execute a similar idea on his property. Finally, I also want to mention a pair of trellises that they built at the corner of our pool cage. We already had a double palm planted there so they sort of framed it by building a 6x4 trellis on either side (they put a light on the opposite side of the palm, too, which backlights it in the evening -beautiful!). Again, using a little imagination, they suggested we go with brown lattice, rather than white. You might not think something like that would make a big difference but it really does. The jasmine they planted is thriving, too, having already climbed halfway to the top of each trellis. It's going to be a wonderful addition to that area as it fills in. My only criticism is that some of the plants they installed were very small. I think they could have gone with larger ones to reduce the amount of time we'll need to wait for the project to fill in. In summary, if you've got a vision that involves some uncommon and unconventional elements, Landscape Design is the right outfit to hire. I'm sure they do very well on more common jobs, too. If you hire them, I would encourage you to let them be creative. You won't regret it."

FAQs for weed maintenance projects in Largo, FL

The cost to reseed or overseed a lawn is about $1,050 on average, ranging from $450 to $1,700, depending on lawn size, seed type, and location. Popular seed types for residential lawns include bahia, fescue, and Bermuda. Keep in mind that it costs $0.10 to $0.20 per square foot to seed or overseed a lawn. Additional cost factors may include:

  • Fertilization: $80–$400

  • Soil testing: $700–$2,100

  • Yard cleanup and leaf removal: $200–$560

  • Treating weeds: $110–$325

  • Mowing: $50–$210

On average, the cost of lawn fertilization is $250, ranging from $80 to $400, depending on the size of the lawn, its current condition, additional treatments, number of applications, fertilizer type, and location. Keep in mind that labor, tools, and equipment make up 80% to 90% of the total cost of lawn fertilization. Additional lawn treatment options include:

  • Lime treatment: $100–$150 per 1,000 square feet

  • Crabgrass treatment: $30–$80

  • Grub treatment: $30–$80

  • Mulching: $150–$400

  • Dethatching: $265–$295

Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.

When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

Landscaping costs around $3,500 but varies widely from $200 to $14,000. Factors that play a part in your final landscaping price tag include:

  • Location

  • Yard size

  • Project size

  • Materials

  • Land preparation

  • Type of landscaping

Considering so many factors, it’s not surprising that the overall costs can differ. A typical landscaping project is flower bed installation, which averages between $800 and $3,000. However, landscape lighting installation is a higher-end project, with a price tag of $2,000 to $6,000
