Starting with getting a quote the front office was quick to respond and very flexible in scheduling a time for someone to come out and give me a quote for replacement. Ron was great about keeping in communication to ensure i knew what was going on in the process. The day before the install Marsha in the front office called and described exactly what would happen during install and detailed what we needed to do to complete the rebates from our energy company. On install day Barry and Daquan were on time and got to work immediately. The work they did was phenomenal, They took the extra time to clean up some wiring, plumbing, and insulation issues that were left by the last company to install an AC at the residence and this shows in the end result. Beyond the AC install work they did a great job at cleaning up after themselves and left the area as clean as it was when they started. After about a month the new A/C has had no problems and is doing a great job at keeping the house cool. There are a few reasons your AC is running but not cooling your room. Thermostat issues and dust and debris, which can clog your system, are common problems. It could also be a broken component, such as a compressor, blower fan, or evaporator coils. You’ll need to call a pro to diagnose the issue.

Air duct cleaning scams are, unfortunately, so common because the industry is largely unregulated, and technicians don’t need to hold licenses in most states. It’s also easy for scammers to use scare tactics to claim that your indoor air is potentially unsafe, which makes the service an easy sell. Finally, most homeowners don’t have access to their hidden HVAC ducts and can’t check on issues themselves, so it’s easy to claim that there’s mold or debris build-up in there and have it go unchecked.

The most common duct sizes used in residential homes are round ducts 6 to 12 inches in diameter. This size is small enough to be easily installed into walls and ceilings, yet is wide enough to allow for adequate airflow through the home. Improper duct sizing can cause HVAC issues, increased energy bills, and a drop in HVAC efficiency, which translates into a less comfortable home. 

A floor return vent needs a clearance of between 6 and 12 inches in front of it. You should not place large furniture, such as shelves, drapes, or couches, directly in front of a return air vent.

You should remove and clean your HRV filters about once a month, as debris will build up quickly, especially on the fresh air side of the ductwork. Even with routine cleaning, you should plan to replace the filters at least once a year or more often if you find that they’re getting dirty quickly during operation.
