I have severe allergy issues. I placed a call to Gator Clean with some questions. After talking with danielle I made an appointment for my air ducts and carpets to be cleaned. They arrived on time and were very thorough in their walk through. They did a wonderful job. She even took the time to recommend what products would be good in my everyday cleaning. I also had them return a month later and clean my tile floors. I am happy to report everything turned out great and am very satisfied with their work.

This was the typical air duct bait-and-switch on the phone call they ask you how many ducks you have you give them an approximate amount they give you a price. There was nothing else is stated in regards to other possible costs. When they came out to do the air duct cleaning they took off couple of vents, and went right into all types of issues with mold.. the price went tripled. There was no testing of any kind, she then that lets go look at your air handler because that might be a source of a problem and if that's your problem there were looking at even more money I said to her my air handler was all changed out less than 2 months ago cause were clean. Don't think that that's a problem in fact the brand new air handler. In the garage as she opens up the AC handler, she says...oh your lucky it looks fine. However, she says when looking at 2 vebts in living room she she says it's mold and that she can smell it I disagree . We have a dog, and its just dirty vents. The whole convo was sooo.. inconsistent, and she double talk skirting around the initial amount...i kept asking..what service did you promise to do for the initial amount of almost 400?..she was evasive I continue with an extra $900, so basically..iver $1300 to include ozone treatment and bacterial. Long story short, we went ahead and had them do the so-called duct cleaning without any other services . Asked this person to provide an itemized quote for what else needs to be done and why she hesitated and said that she would have talked to her boss however in the end she sent me a receipt and all she probably receipt was the name of the product the treatment but not why we needed it and the estimate. This company needs to be investigated I rarely post negative comments on Angie's List ..but for the situation I needed to It was so unbelievable I would not trust this company with an air duct cleaning I will get several recommendations or estimates before making a decision like this again! I plan on contacting another company to come out to look at what was stated that was done but then the next week I also plan on having the other company check for mold because I do believe that I was scammed. Thank you

GATOR CLEAN - THE ONLY CARPET CLEANING COMPANY THAT LEAVES YOUR HOME SMELLING BAD AND BLAMES YOU FOR IT! It's difficult to express the level of dissatisfaction we have with Gator Clean, but I will try. First, the good news: The staff seemed knowledgeable and friendly when booking the carpet cleaning appointment. Danielle talked us into (upsold) going with their "Low Moisture Carpet Cleaning" method as opposed to the traditional truck-mounted steam cleaning we've used forever in all our homes. The difference in price was an additional $30 and the promise the carpet would dry much faster and would avoid potential mold problems. The chemicals used are 'green' and 'non-toxic'. Danielle and a helper spent all of 35 minutes "cleaning" 3 rooms in our house. The process consisted of her helper spraying some sort of chemical mixed with tap water onto the carpet, then using a large buffer-type machine to "loosen the dirt molecules" and bring them to the surface, and finished with vacuuming each treated room with an ordinary canister vacuum cleaner. At this point, I need to point out that Danielle is a very argumentative and arrogant person who does not take criticism well. She constantly interrupts and tries to over-talk you. Plus, she's just downright rude. Our patience with Danielle ran out pretty quickly to the point that we just wanted her to finish and leave our house. Here's where it gets ugly: After "cleaning" our 3 rooms with this much-ballyhooed "Low Moisture Carpet Cleaning" method, the entire house began to stink. A foul dirty-mops type of overriding stench that permeated the entire house. Mind you - this is AFTER "cleaning" the carpets. The next day we contacted Gator Clean to apprise them of the horrible and worsening odor problem. Danielle did return our text promptly and after launching into a diatribe of how she thought the rooms "smelled like dogs" (there was no smell before they came) and it couldn't have been their fault, she reluctantly agreed to come back by the house "on my day off" and so she "wouldn't get in trouble" with her 'boss' and reapply some deodorizer to the carpets that were "cleaned". She said she could swing by at 3:30pm as she had a nail appt. nearby at 4:00pm. We made arrangements to be home - and she never showed up. Finally, at around 4pm we were able to reach her and she texted us and claimed she "lost track of time", again reiterated she could come by now at 4:30 on "her day off". We were perturbed and started to say forget it, when she arrived at our guard house and was let in. She pulled into our driveway in what was a non-commercial car, presumably her personal vehicle, and left the car running while she came indoors and sprayed the deodorizer on the carpeted rooms in question. Her demeanor seemed agitated and impersonal. But, it was all futile. In fact, a few hours later, THE SMELL had worsened and confirmed that it must have been the chemicals they had been spraying all along. We had to open our windows to air out the house but that only marginally mitigated the awful, disgusting, stomach-wrenching, dirty mop smell that remained. The following day I (the homeowner) liberally applied Febreze on the carpets and spent 15 minutes vacuuming the room. Literally vacuuming for 15 minutes straight in one room. Afterward, a big ball of dirt, dust, and hair the size of a softball was removed from my vacuum. [ Note: I would estimate 95% of the odor was removed as well. Further confirming it was the chemical solution used and the light or hurried vacuuming afterward. ] It was as if they had never vacuumed at all. Why would THIS MUCH DIRT be removed 2 days after they had "professionally cleaned" our carpet? We conveyed our objections by email to the owner, Chris. He seemed to take our criticisms in stride but started to defensively suggest (argue) how basically it wasn't their fault and that they use only the best methods and equip, etc. Now, to his credit, Chris (and later Danielle) did offer to come back yet again to steam-clean the house for free to our complete satisfaction. At this point, however, we had lost faith in his company, methods, and especially his argumentative technician, Danielle - so we said NO. We would seek the help of a different company. In summation, let me speak plainly and only from the perspective of our customer experience: Gator Clean's "Low Moisture Carpet Cleaning" system is a joke. A ripoff. You will be sorry you did this and it will be a waste of your money. Gator Clean's follow-up customer service is sorely lacking in credibility. It was our experience they are evasive and deflective to accept blame for a poor job despite being prompt with answers and polite acknowledgement of your concerns. I recommend you stick with a tried and true steam-cleaning carpet cleaning method and perhaps overlook Gator Clean to do the job. You will save yourself headaches and frustrations, believe me.

They were running late, but did call to let me know and kept in contact until they arrived. They did the cleaning fast, I was surprised they were done so quickly; all the hoses and equipment were loaded back on the truck by the time they had me do a walk through, then left. I was happy until I realized that a throw carpet in front of the fireplace had not been picked up and cleaned under. I've had this carpet cleaned by another company before, and they cleaned both the throw carpet and under it, so I thought that was normal. I was told later throw carpets are an additional charge, which I can understand, but why wasn't I asked my preference. I didn't want the throw cleaned and not the actual wall to wall that was underneath. I was in the next room, where it would have taken two minutes to stop and ask me which I would prefer. I was told it was my fault and that I should have told them or moved it beforehand myself. Honestly, I forgot about it being there. They said they thought it was permanently there, even though it does not look permanent. I was told that a lot of clients have throw rugs all over their houses and they don't have the time to ask about every rug. I asked if, when they where in the area again, would they come and do the area of wall to wall that was missed; they said they would for an additional charge, after paying $400 for all the services?! I don't think so! Now I have a wall to wall carpet with a 2.5 ft by 6 ft area that wasn't cleaned and I'm not happy about it. The attached pictures show what they claim looked "permanent" with curling edges and all.
Response from Gator Clean

"Mrs [Member Name Removed], Again I am sorry but we cannot clean area rugs for free. We happily substituted the area it covered as it was dirty in are initial inspection with you. I have waived the minimum charge and offered to stop by when we were in the area to clean that section for the price of the area rug. We make sure to do a walk through with every client before and after the job requiring a signature. You were pleased with the pet treatment and how the carpet came out in your final inspection. As I explained to you on the phone the rugs require additional time and cleaner and cannot be done for free. You made your position clear that you wanted it for free or else. I am sorry that you feel this way."

It went very well. Danielle was very knowledgable about carpet care and her and her helper were both very professional and through in their work. I was amazed at the amount of lint that came from my dryer vent and suprised they were 30 dollars cheaper than others in my area. We haven't had our air ducts serviced in some time and they have them looking new now. My family and i are breathing happy and will deffinitley use them again!!!! A+++++

"We cleaned and color sealed your floor only. We recommended the walls also needed to be done and you only wanted the floor to be done. The mold is present underneath the door and the surrounding wall. You have to run your exhaust fan for at least 15 min after you shower. you need to squeegee the excess water."

Carpets were ok.  They ruined my ceramic tile.  I have been trying all these years to get off the overspill from the sealer they were to put on my grout.  Exceptionally poor workmanship.
Response from Gator Clean

"The sealer we use is water based and does not adhere to the tile. We explained all of this and showed you when we came out to assess this. A previous condition on the tile is what you are seeing."

They did a good job but were much to expensive for just carpet cleaning.
Response from Gator Clean

"Hello (Member name removed) I pulled up your file from a year ago. We did not just clean your carpets on that visit we had pet spots we treated and we applied protectant to the carpeting. Your total was 280.00 due to the pet treatments that we had to perform. A normal cleaning would of been $99.00 for the 3 rooms. I appreciate the compliment that we did a good job and I see your pet spots were resolved. I do not understand the F I see we called you back to check on things and you said everything was great?"

The technician was good and pleasant.  He encouraged us to add a sealing treatment because we have a small dog.  We were told that the sealant would prevent urine stain.  Our dog recently had a small accident.  WE did what we were told by the tech but it has not helped the smell.  I called the office and spoke with Daniel who was blaming, argumentative and not at all interested in assisting me.  I spoke with Chris who was more pleasant but not interested in helping us without further charges, in spite of the fact that we were told the protective treatment would help and we did what we were told.  I would never recommend this company to anyone.

They did a great job on the carpet.    It dried very quickly and was soft and nice smelling when they finished.      The tile also looked fantastic when they finished.   They could have been a little more cautious with the tile cleaner as some of it got on my laminate floor, but over all I'm very happy with the result and the company.

They cleaned my carpets fine.  The guy that stretched my carpet did a good job.  They cleaned and sealed my ceramic terrible. My floor looked worse when they were done then when they started.  I have been trying to get up all the overspill from the sealant ever since.   My calls were ignored.  Worst small business ever!
Response from Gator Clean

"(member name removed), I have checked all records and show no record of you ever using our services? I do not understand why you waited over a year to submit this complaint. Our sealer dries clear and will not do as your describing. Every call is important and is logged so missing a call is impossible. Unfortunately I believe this is another false review by another carpet cleaner. Why you keep placing these false reviews about me on yelp here and other places is truly disgusting. This company supports my four children why you wish to discredit my hard work and name is truly appalling."

Chris and Danielle were extremely knowledgeable about the problems of having carpets and pets. They applied a three step solution that took 4 hours to complete. The results were excellent. I highly recommend them to anyone who has gone through several companies with limited results these people know what they are doing. I have scheduled them for the remaining rooms in my house.

She was really knowledgable about what to stay away from flooring wise and what is beneficial for home use and pets. She also gave me instructions on how to clean vinyl and laminate flooring. They did an amazing job, they pulled up stains that I didn't even know existed let alone what they were from!

Chris and Daniele showed up to clean my carpets, they were a lovely couple and explained everything to me in detail about their cleaning process and the different types of cleanings. Not all cleanings are the same, some require more treatment than others, which is completely understandable considering not everyones carpet looks the same. Mine, it had been a couple years since i had it done, and it needed some extra attention, but not a whole lot. Paying a little extra because the carpets are more soiled than a standard cleaning is something I had expected. If they have spend more time and use more cleaners I dont expect them to do that for free, they d go out of business, and I think this is why a lot of small business's go under because people get upset too quickly because they expect everything to be included, well it doesn't work that way. Do you ever wonder what happened to that wonderful company that use to come out and do certain work for you really cheap and did such an awesome job? More than likely they went out of business cause they couldn't afford to keep doing the work at that cost. So just remember that when you have services provided in your home and what their cost are to do the work, gas, insurance, licensing, employee and chemical cost!!! What I paid to have my carpets cleaned was more than worth it and I will be calling them again much sooner, because they did a fantastic job!

Overall I wouldn't recommend this outfit to anyone. They are rude and hold you up for more money. Regardless of whether or not it's needed or not. Wrote a review on him on Yelp and it took him 7 months to finally respond to which he blasts and accusses my elderly father of stealing from him. He took my money and split and did a horrible job. He stole from me not the other way around. Run don't walk from this business. With Stanley Steemer and other reputable businesses out there
Response from Gator Clean

"you hired me not your father. I met with you that morning and I cleaned the carpet for the advertised coupon price. The carpet was covered in coffee spills which you explained your fathers illness and is prone to spilling. I explained before I began any work that to attempt to remove coffee from the carpet would require special treatment which you promptly stopped me and stated I only want the coupon price. You told me do the best you can for the coupon price. You had your father write me a check and you left. The carpet came out great except for the coffee spills. You called me 2 days later stating you were going to cancel the check if I did not come back and remove every one of the coffee stains for free. I explained to you that you declined the treatment and canceling a check is theft of service. You threatened with a yelp review going on how you were a super yelper and I had better come do what you want. I encourage my customers to look up her yelp profile is N B. she writes horrible reviews on all these companies that do not do free work for her."

It was pretty expensive.  It was really strange because it was a couple and they were coughing, but it was a big job and the carpet was absolutely horrendous, that is why it was so expensive; they had to double clean it.  They were on time and they did a pretty good job cleaning the carpet, but the thing that I did not like was that they would not clean the baseboards so they were black and had all kinds of stuff stuck to them.  After they left, the carpet looked better but it looked awful because it was a light beige Berber and all along the whole room and down the hall, it was still soapy; and they wanted to charge me $10 a wall so that would have been $150 on top of it.  They told me that the stains might lift, but I had quite a few stains that lifted up through again. I had to take a cleaner and paper towels and kind of stomp on it to get them out. It was pretty filthy.
Response from Gator Clean

"The carpets were filled with tide, urine, juice and milk from a home machine. DCF had stepped in due to the condition of the home and were going to remove the children. You flew in to help your son and we dropped everything that day to come and assist you. We helped remove 2 garbage bags of filthy diapers and clothes just from behind the tv. The children had been left unattended and smeared things all down the walls. The carpet had significant damage due to the spills sitting for a prolonged period of time and the home machine flooding the carpet. I apologize for coughing but when we were spraying the room it reactivated the rotten milk and juice. You were so happy when DCF cleared the home and your son was able to keep the children. I do not understand a lot of your review???"

The first week they arrived a half an hour late. They said they were moving and were delayed. The second week they were on schedule. Last week they were supposed to be here at 8:30 and came at 8:00. Today they were supposed to be here at 8:30 and they did not show up. I left a voicemail at 9:00 and have not heard back. They are not punctual at all. Plus they don't do a very through job. It is 2 men and I don't feel they know much about housecleaning.
Response from Gator Clean

"(member name removed) we did everything we could to accommodate you on short notices. You kept changing the day you wanted your cleaning performed. I explained we had other people booked and could not move them. I explained to you on the last cleaning performed that your expectations for a $45.00 cleaning were too high and not what we originally discussed. I do not understand the negative review we went above and beyond for the last cleaning before parting ways. You cannot expect Everything dusted Picture frames, Baseboards, Furniture etc.. 2 bathrooms Deep Scrubbed, All windows washed, Floors Scrubbed, All Furniture polished, Everything Vacuumed for just $45.00."

They charge per square foot when pricing. The reason I called them is because my daughter's apartment needed to be done. They were running a special for $99.00 for 3 rooms. It is a young couple, like husband and wife. They were courteous, and prompt. She said she would call me back, and she did, within 30 minutes of the time she said she would. They were very pleasant and courteous. They were professional. They had good quality. They did point out that there was a few stains that would not come up. They did try, but they don't promise you the moon. They are honest.
