"Excellent! I had Humberto out for an estimate of my stone patio. I wanted to clean, fill and seal the stones, and some areas that the concrete that time has worn away. Very fair estimate. He started 2 days later. Excellent work from start to finish. I am very, very happy with the end result. I would recommend Rock of Faith for their great work."

"Kevin was also able to repair rollers on a sliding door, and the front door entrance wood. He was also considerate of our property. He picked up other crew member's cigarette butts, and asked about hauling other items away from the demo site that did not need to stay in the yard. As a suggestion, it may help to have a checklist of items for the job site. There was only one battery charger for the drills used for the deck screws. Waiting on batteries to re-charge slowed the installation process."

Concrete Leveling questions, answered by experts

Common issues with concrete that may require professional repair or resurfacing include cracks, spalling, uneven surfaces, and weather damage.

Polyjacking and mudjacking can both be effective solutions for sinking concrete, but they have key differences. Polyjacking, which uses expanding polyurethane foam, is often considered a better option because the foam is significantly lighter than the cementitious material used for mudjacking. This reduced weight puts less pressure on the underlying soil and lowers the risk of future sinking. Polyjacking is suitable for any sinking concrete slab, while mudjacking is typically only recommended for non-structural concrete, such as sidewalks, patios, pool decks, and driveways. The primary drawback of polyjacking is its cost, which can be up to four times higher than mudjacking—as much as $25 per square foot compared to a maximum of about $6 per square foot for mudjacking.

Mudjacking is suitable for sidewalks, driveways, patios, and nearly all exterior flat structures. However, it may not suit severely damaged or heavily cracked areas.

Generally speaking, push piers—or steel piers—are the best option for underpinning, as they reach down to solid bedrock to find support for your foundation rather than relying on soil, which could be subject to the same issues as the soil directly below your foundation. However, the best underpinning method for your home depends on your location, how far down the bedrock is, and the type of soil in your area. Helical piers are usually the best option for sandy soil or in areas where the bedrock is too deep to use steel piers.

Concrete leveling is not typically covered by insurance. In some cases where the shifting concrete is caused by a natural disaster or storm, you may be able to file an insurance claim if your policy specifically covers those circumstances. In most cases, though, you’ll pay out-of-pocket for concrete leveling.
