"This review is for work performed approximately 3/17. I wrote the review and did not submit it properly. My advice is instead of replacing/upgrading your home windows just move. I believe American Window does not have the capability/expertise/employees to handle large projects such as mine. They are probably ok to use if you need 1-2 windows or a door that’s not too complicated. Project cost was $30K+ and was a complete nightmare from the start. The salesman lost the $10k deposit check which should have been a sign to find someone else. The 3-4 day project took several months due order mistakes, improper measuring, poor installation and manufacturing defects which required ordering new windows. To this day 1 door is still not right and it irritates me every time I look at it. My mistake for paying in full before things were corrected. I contacted the owner several times for resolution but received nothing but excuses. I usually research contractors in detail when planning a home improvement project but this time I failed. Don’t be me. I learned a great deal from this project and I hope my review helps others avoid a similar fate."

I am so glad that I selected them instead of another company, which is larger but did not put a personal touch on their business. All the McFall crew members seemed to care about their work and wanted to do things right. The project manager Lane Turner was responsive, patient, honest, and trying to help above and beyond throughout the process. He was the soul of the project (and I hope he will become a partner of the company instead of simply an employee). The tile person and the cabinet guy were the best in their trades. The painters Shawn and Dustin were meticulous and friendly. After their work, I felt that hiring anybody else would have been a downgrade. Strongly pushed to Flintastic 2 ply on bare wood to replace shingles. Installed without rollers. Ceiling leak related to installation, so crew cut membranes and did a terrible patch. Ceiling was opened, and replacement insulation was 50% R rating of the debris insulation. Tar type residue in various places on white roof and a stone walkway. Rolls, ripples, bubbles, and ridges on cap. Permit was pulled for a completely different job, and job was called "finished" based on the unrelated inspections. The company manager stated the product was warranted to 120mph (it's 54mph). The product warranty was also shorter than represented and might be void based on the fsilure to follow installation instructions."
