"I hired them to do siding on my home I reviewed different locations of their work and their work is excellent! Before I could get them to do my home I had some serious health issues in my family and I had to cancel the job for now. I will tell you they were very compassionate to my situation very understanding and gave me a refund of my deposit! "Sam and his crew came to help me after the previous painter made a mess of the job and got white paint all over my red brick walls and porch. They did an excellent job of cleaning up someone else's mess. Then set to work and did the job right. They are friendly, courteous, always on time, meticulous and efficient. They quote was fair and I would definitely be keeping him in my contact list as my preferred paint contractor. Thank you guys for a excellent job."

Customers say: Quick response

"Hired after interviewing 3 contractors. 3 weeks to start job. Removed vinyl siding and hauled away. Replaced damaged wood, then put new warp and window tape over the area. County inspector inspected, per permit pulled by contractor. Replaced with hardie plank, much nicer product than vinyl. Crew painted new siding with paint I purchased. Took about 10 working days to complete. County inspector conducted final inspection. Crew cleaned up and hauled away all material. Cost 9000.00"

"Very well. Mr. Shifrin even came to our home on a weekend day to work on the washer, without charging an exorbitant fee. He did an excellent job pressure washing our metal roof. It is steeply pitched, and he worked safely, yet did a thorough job of it."

Siding questions, answered by experts

Brick and stone are the most durable and longest-lasting siding materials, often lasting for 100 years or more with proper maintenance. Copper is another material known to last over 100 years, though it can develop a greenish patina over time. Zinc is a metal siding that can last 80-100 years. While these options are the most expensive, they offer superior value and longevity. For a more affordable yet durable choice, stucco can last 50 to 80 years in dry climates. Fiber cement siding is another excellent middle ground, offering a lifespan of 50 years or more with low maintenance at a lower cost than stone or brick.

Little maintenance is required beyond periodic washing with a garden hose to remove dirt. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or pressure washers that might damage the siding.

Wood siding requires that air can circulate behind it and that water can drain away if necessary. Your home needs a water-restrictive barrier underneath furring strips to achieve the air and water gap.

As stunning and natural as stone siding is, it's not for everyone. Some popular siding alternatives to stone siding include:

  • Aluminum siding

  • Brick veneer siding

  • Engineered wood siding

  • Fiber cement siding

  • Wood siding

  • Vinyl siding

If you want the look of natural stone siding without the high material and installation costs, vinyl siding may be one of the best alternatives. It’s lightweight, low-cost, and low maintenance but does have a lower life span than natural stone.

OSB is a common material used in sheathing, so when OSB prices go up, so does the cost of sheathing. Depending on the economy and supply chain, increased costs can reduce demand, though some homeowners proceed with their projects despite the elevated expenses.
