"I have used Shannon in the past do refresh our landscaping. I called him this time because I wanted to have him build a patio and landscape our backyard. Shannon came out a few days after I contact him. He got the measurements and had his landscape designer come out. They designed a plan. Once the pavers arrived they began their work. I could not be happier with the end result. I love my patio and new plants."

"Buddy and his team were amazing!!! They built a 36 foot long roof with four columns over our patio. They installed 3 ceiling fans and lighting. They also installed a french door. They really exceeded our expectations. We couldn't be happier. Buddy was always available whenever I called or text. His crew was very professional. They always cleaned up when finished for the day. When you hire someone and they don't ask for a deposit and they tell you that you don't pay a dime until the work is done, that says a lot about the company. Our patio roof is really beautiful. I wish I could include pictures in this review because it looks amazing. I can't say enough about Buddy and his team. These guys are awesome. Our french door had to be custom because of the size of the opening. Our house is concrete block which is extremely difficult to deal with. These guys made it happen. I highly recommend Express Sunrooms. Their pricing is highly competitive. The quality of their work is second too none. They get an A+ in my book. I have seen other jobs from other companies and they don't compare. My wife is very critical when inspecting anything. She couldn't be happier. Thank you Buddy and thank your team. You guys are awesome."

Patios questions, answered by experts

Building a sunroom can take anywhere from two weeks to six months. An average-sized sunroom typically takes between two and eight weeks to complete, but more elaborate or larger projects can take longer. The final timeline depends on factors such as the sunroom's size, features, structural requirements, type, and whether it's a retrofit or a new build from scratch.

The average cost to enclose a patio to create a sunroom is around $5,000, and prices generally range from $3,000 up to $10,000. The price you pay will depend on the state of your patio and whether it needs repairs or additional structural support, the quality of the materials you choose, the size of your patio, and whether you plan to run utilities into and finish the sunroom. The price for a fully finished patio enclosure could run up to around $20,000, while you might pay just $2,500 for a screened-in porch.

Yes, with proper heating or cooling systems and energy-efficient glazing.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it meets certain criteria. For instance, it must be completely enclosed with solid walls and a roof. It should also have a heating and cooling source similar to the rest of the home. Finally, the porch should have direct access to and from the interior of your house.

A deck is typically attached to a house and accessed via the back door. Decks are usually constructed from wood or composite materials. A terrace, on the other hand, is a raised platform that can be attached to or detached from the house and is typically made from a hard-paved material, such as paving stones. Terraces can be built on the ground or on the roof of a home.
