"We just went thru a hurricane and damage is widespread in our area. Marshall Roofing-Ben contacted us very quickly and scheduled a time to inspect our damaged roof. He came over, inspected our roof and got us an estimate w/ in a hour or so. He said he could schedule us in a week or two. He arrived as promised, with his father- also Ben- and they had the damage repaired in one day. They both came back the next day to clean and seal our whole roof. They did a great job with the repair and the roof looks great after they applied the sealant. They are very professional, personable, and hard working. You can rely on their promises and it was a pleasure to work with them. I highly recommend them for roofing work."

"I have had my roof done with Roman Roofing(from shingles to metal). Ralph Chianese is a wonderful salesman, he is always there to help and answer all your calls or messages even on weekends. The roofing team is also a great team with supervisor Jaime, he is also a wonderful man, he stopped by and check the work couple times during the installation. I highly recommend Roman roofing to everyone who wants to change or replace their roof."

"After shopping several roofing companies, we went with Gold Top and am so happy that we did. Danny was so attentive and followed up with us every step of the way. The crew arrived on time, worked quickly and efficiently, cleaned up and were so polite. What seemed like such a daunting task was actually extremely easy to deal with and I am beyond happy with the results of my new roof! I would recommend them to any and everyone looking for a new roof!"

"Canâ t say enough good things about this company they managed to stop every leak in our commercial property that the past 2 companies failed at doing. We contacted them on a Saturday and that following Monday the owner came out and took a look at the roof and right away he could tell exactly where our problem areas were after we received the estimate we decided to hire Paradigm to seal our roof and itâ s been 7 months without a leak!"

Roofing questions, answered by experts

A roof replacement can take anywhere from one to 14 days. For most homes, a full replacement that includes tearing off old materials takes about one to two days, though the average project can last up to 12 days. The exact timeline depends on several factors, including the roof's size and complexity, the type of roofing material, the crew size, and weather conditions. Certain materials take longer to install; for example, metal roofs can take seven to 14 days because the material is more difficult to work with than asphalt shingles, wood, or tile. A re-roofing project, where new shingles are installed over old ones, can take half the time or less. It's also important to factor in the time needed to obtain necessary permits. A professional roofing contractor will typically complete the job faster than a DIY approach.

Wooden roofs require regular maintenance, are prone to rot and mold, and are frequently the target of insect infestations. Natural wood is also excellent at absorbing and storing moisture—not a positive. In climates where the weather shifts dramatically, the wood can also crack, split, or warp.

Depending on the condition of your roof, you may be able to add flashing to it. If you’re looking for a way to maintain its integrity while saving some money, you should ask a roofing pro if this is an option. Keep in mind that if your roof is in poor shape, a full replacement may be necessary before flashing is installed.

The type of roof and roofing materials that are best for your mobile home depends primarily on its shape and slope. Rubber materials, such as EPDM and TPO, are best for flat, low-sloped, or bowed mobile home roofs. Asphalt shingles or metal roofing are best for mobile homes with sloped rooflines.

Metal roofs last for between 50 and 70 years, and asphalt roofs last for between 20 and 25 years, with some lasting as long as 30 years. In most cases, you’ll get double the life or more out of a metal roof than you would from a shingle roof, which helps make the higher cost of a metal roof more manageable.
