"These contractors called to let me know when they would be coming out. They showed up when they said and they charged what they said they would charge. They cleaned up after themselves and all work was done to a high standard."

"Great company and great management. Anthony runs a good business and guarantees his work unlike most other contractors in South Florida. He is patient with his customers, walks them through the process thoroughly, and makes the pricing clear and understandable. Quality of their work is excellent and guaranteed by Anthony. Overall one of the only times I’ve have a good experience with a contractor that I can reply on. Highly recommend Anthony and this business."

Customers say: Quality work

"We found Javier on this website.. We donâ t live in Florida so all of the hiring part was remote. We talked with several companies and decided to go with Javier because he was very straight to the point, he explain the process in a way we understood. Javier and his team outdid themself. Javier delivered on every level. The work was great and CLEAN. This process can be very dirty but they left the house as clean as it was when they came in. Javier and his team treated the house as it was theirs and that set them a part from other contractors we hired to do other work for us. The kitchen looks great! We are highly recommend him."

"We contacted Florida Woodworks to build kitchen cabinets for our home. The existing cabinets were partially damaged when we had a water pipe break in our wall. Jack and his son Zack did an excellent job at demolishing and installing new custom made wooden kitchen cabinets. They are both very professional and polite. The project was priced "right" and the quality is excellent. We highly recommend this company and rate it a 5 star for quality; customer service; value for money; overall."

Cabinet Contractors questions, answered by experts

In many homes, upper cabinets are installed with a 1- to 2-foot gap between the tops and the ceiling. However, many homeowners extend their cabinets to the ceiling to gain extra storage and a polished, built-in look.

The depth of your pantry shelves should range between 12 and 24 inches, depending on how high it sits on the wall and your pantry size. Higher shelves should fall on the thinner side since it is harder to reach deep shelving areas the higher you go.

Like nearly any other upgrade, new and improved kitchen cabinets can increase your property value and make your home more attractive to potential buyers. After all, the majority of home buyers consider the kitchen to be one of the most important rooms in the house. New melamine cabinets can be a big plus, particularly if you select a classic wood grain or another light neutral color that provides a blank slate for other design elements.

Using a shim or another type of self-leveling feet on the bottom edge of your cabinet bases will help to level them out if you’re installing them on a less-than-level surface. To make this process easier, you can add your shims before attaching the bases to your cabinets while they’re still light and easy to move around.

It is typically cheaper to buy stock or semi-custom cabinets than to build custom ones. The price difference is significant:

  • Custom Cabinets: Cost between $500 and $1,200 per linear foot. This price is affected by materials, size, design complexity, and door styles. For instance, a simple slab door's materials might cost $60-$70, while a decorative mullioned glass door could be $100-$200.

  • Semi-Custom Cabinets: Cost between $150 and $700 per linear foot.

  • Stock Cabinets: Cost between $100 and $400 per linear foot.

While buying pre-built cabinets is more cost-effective, building custom cabinets allows for full modification to fit unique spaces, such as rooms with high ceilings or unusual layouts, which stock options cannot accommodate.
