"Communicated timely. They were transparent, showed me the video and where my drains were clogged. I wasn't able to get all the drains flushed, but they met my immediate needs. Would definitely recommend them and will be calling them to do regular drain maintenance."

"I call in the morning, they sent a serviceman same afternoon. He called 20 min before arrival. started working right away. Took about 1 hour had it all done as I already had the tank drained. He was very efficient and he cleaned up afterwards. Answered any questions I had. Price same as quoted. I would hire them again. Just a note- the heaters the pro can buy are not the same as you can get at a big box store. This one is from the professional series. Lots of differences."

"Todd Steiner of VT Plumbing quickly provided an estimate. I hired him, next day he completed installation of my garbage disposal. He worked fast and efficient. The garbage disposal works great. He thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed the area, a professional touch. I will hire him again, and highly recommend both Todd Steiner and VT Plumbing."

"Curtis called right away when requested on Home Advisor and was able to give me quotes over the phone. Same day service for clogged toilet. Lance called earlier than scheduled to let me know he could come earlier which I greatly appreciated. Lance was awesome! He was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, professional, and went over and beyond my expectations. My commode was blocked and the auger wouldn't do the trick. Lance had to take out my commode to remove the toilet bowl brush from my drain. He made sure everything was put back and caulked around the toilet then cleaned up everything to make sure it was spotless before he left. I would definitely hire Kelly's Plumbing again and would highly recommend them to others."

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Anything from debris, rust, ice, and even poor installation can cause clogs in your plumbing vents. Some signs of a clog include slow drains, gurgling sounds in drains and toilets, and bad odors. The bad odors are the most concerning, as these can include methane and hydrogen sulfide. Contact a plumber to come take a look if you notice any of these signs.

Yes, sewage smells can originate from a floor drain. If the P-Trap in the floor drain dries out or if there's a clog or other issue in the plumbing system, sewer gasses can escape through the drain, causing nasty odors. Regularly pouring water into the drain helps maintain the water seal and prevent those smells, but if the smell persists, you should have a plumbing professional inspect the drain for potential problems.

Avoid flushing non-degradable items, schedule regular inspections, and address minor clogs promptly.

To unclog the drain pipe, remove the machine's drain hose from the pipe or sink drain, being careful to contain any water in it. Next, use a plunger for sink drains or a plumbing snake for a wall drain. Test the repair by pouring a small amount of water into the pipe before trying it with a laundry load.

As a preventative measure, hydro jetting should be done every one to two years. However, the best practice is to hydro jet your sewer line once per year. The ideal frequency depends on several factors, including the age and condition of your pipes, how prone they are to clogging, how often the sewer line is used, and the type of waste disposed of in the system. If you frequently experience clogs or are unsure, it's best to ask a licensed plumber for a recommendation specific to your plumbing system.
